Well, I just embarrassed myself today. I went out to dinner with my parents and ate at Red Lobster. Well, in the middle of eating dinner I hear Speed of Sound being played on their satellite radio. So, what did I do? I ended up singing the song loud enough that people around me heard me singing it. When the song was done I basically woke up from my Coldplay trance and noticed that everyone, including my parents whose eyes were wide open, staring at me. Most people were smiling but not my parents. They were in a state of shock. LOL!!

so i was in hollywood today and i walked past these 3 girls and they were like yay we love coldplay...i was wearing my coldplay shirt my bracelets and today was the first time i drew an = sign on my hand...coldplayers perhaps???

Well I know where their cars will be coming when they arrive at the arena... pretty sure it's Entrance B for all you Melbourners because that's a) around the side and b) has security patrol guys in cars go through every so often (I have pictures of where, I seriously got asked why I was taking them and took it as my cue to leave :lol:)

They played Politik today on the radio at my local grocery store. I was so surprised that I squealed and clapped my hands all excited and made a lady reaching for a can nearby and my mother putting something into our cart jump. Neither was very understanding of the reason for my excitement. :( But it made my day anyway!:)

Okay, so I played it an all night, intramural chess tournament last night. I won last year, but I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, and after a latte, I was really shaky, nervous and tired...

Well right as I was making my way to the room where the chess would be played, what should emmanate from the gym loud speakers than...not clocks, not viva la vida, but the live 2003 version of AROBTTH!!! (and it had an awesome concert-like reverb due to the size of the room)

It was right in the lead up to the awesome solo too, so while I walked, grinned and nodded my head in sync to the melody (making it clear to everybody around that I knew the song by heart :P) I began feeling loads better. :D It turned out that whoever compiled the playlist had great taste, because even during the games I was treated to more coldplay, u2, and a great assortment of similar sounding rock bands...

 

Oh, and I ended up winning the little tourney and an all-expense paid trip to regionals. :smug:
