This is a bit form a hockey blog we have in Vancouver. Even though they make the expected Coldplay is gay joke, still nice to hear them mentioned. :P

Coldplay. Not just a way to tell if someone's gay. Their lyrics also tell the story of the Vancouver Canucks, who once held a 2-1 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks and were three minutes away from making it 3-1. Next, the walls were closing on them.

 

But do the Canucks' castles really stand on pillars of salt and pillars of sand?

 

According to this website, NHL teams trailing their quarterfinal round 3-2 and playing Game 6 on the road go on to lose the series 78 percent of the time. Which makes perfect sense when you think about it. Say the Canucks have a 40 percent chance of winning tonight and a 60 percent chance of winning at home in Game 7 and you get a 24 percent chance of winning both games.

 

Wait a minute, Kurtenblog, didn't you say this post would inspire hope? Because so far you've given me a Coldplay song and more bad news. This I did not need.

i saw that and FLIPPED OUT!! it made me very happy. :)

when i was watching House there was a part at the end with hallucinations of Amber and Kutner and i thought it would have been a great time to start playing 42. :P but they didn't. :(

Yesterday my hometown was shown in our local tv and in the background they were playing "In my place" :)

Yesterday, I saw an add in my favourite tv program for Arras's festival where there was a huge coldplay's photo. I was just so happy !:D

isn't it great being able to only vaguely hear Coldplay playing, and still recognize it immediately? :smug:
