Anyone here had/have a prom coming up?

 

Mine's tomorrow, and I'm sorta lookin forward to it, although I know my girlfriend won't like the banquet. The thing is, I go to a Christian school, and we have a banquet before our dance. So one of our teachers gives a speech and blah blah blah. But idk, its supposed to fun, I got a tux and all that cool stuff.

 

How about other countries? Do nations outside the U.S. have a 'prom'?

we have a year 10 and 12 formal

yeah i've got my year 12 one this yearrrr wooooooooooo :wacky:

we have a seniors party which is the closest thing to a prom,but nothing formal

Ugh. You ever feel like being organized sometimes, and other times you feel like being a complete and utter useless human being. Yeah, well this week, I'm feeling like the second.

sure do, I feel like being organize for school next term, that'll die after the first 3 periods or so.

I guess I already have senioritis. Ugh, school sucks.

im in grade 9, so its a'ight so far.

Mines saturday the 29th. im only going because my friends are forcing me to, its gonna suck though. ill end up drunk and pissed.

Ye i had mine in October just gone except in Ireland we call it the "Debutant Ball" or "Debs" as most people call it,pardon the pun here but you should have a "ball" lol

Not for me, i remember and i dont get sick.

And PLUS, 10 people have died in 2 years at this one school where I'm from, due to driving-related accidents. Recently, a girl I'm friends with brother died from a horrible accident. He was in an RX-8, and he and 3 friends were going on this overpass almost 40 feet above the ground. They took the turn going 100-something, and ramped off of the overpass, in flames. The car exploded on the ground, and a witness said he could hear all 4 boys screaming in agony as they burnt alive. Absolutely nothing was left of the car, except a spanish book, which was turned to a page of a car accident. That's no coincidence, I can tell you that.

 

I went to the wake, and had to wait hours upon hours in line. And that was only for 2 of the boys. The police say the boys were drunk, the driver having a blood alcohol of .2, which is obviously very high.

 

My grandfather was also killed by a drunk driver.
