Maha. My older sister used to roll her eyes at Coldplay, and now she confesses that she loves them and they were her favorite, most exciting concert she'd been to in a long time.

haha- i haven't talked to my sis in a while and i'm pretty sure she will make fun of me (i haven't told her i LOVE them yet) But she can't talk- her favorite group is the Dixie Chicks:laugh3: (no offense to those here who like them) But i don't think i could get her to go to a Coldplay concert.....OMG my history teacher went to their concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

luckily some of my closest friends likes coldplay a lot.. so.. i'm not alone :)

Well, the rest of my friends... most of them always say, Coldplay's oh sooo depressive and blah, blah... so it's like one man against a whole army when I'm putting on a song of Coldplay on the stereo ;)

But some of my friends like them, though, but they think, it's no music to hang around with your friends with... whatever :rolleyes: each to their own ;)

Really? they think Coldplay's depressing? Maybe some of their songs are pretty somber,but I usually listen to them when I need some cheering up :P

i have to defend Coldplay every single day...some people are soooo blind ....and that's the hardest part...

I have converted several coworkers to CP fans, basically, they had really never listened to their music, so I just make them a couple CDs and everyone has come back with "Wow, this music is so good" And I reply, "Yes, another Coldplay fan!". I even had one come back and say, "We are now a Coldplay family, my wife loves them and my son has put some of their songs on his Xbox, and let me know when they play here again, cause we all want to go to their concert" I just told him, well that won't be for at least three years! But with all this, it makes me feel good when I convert another! :)

I guess I'm lucky too because all of my friends like Coldplay except for one girl. She listens to Green Day.:rolleyes: I'm always defending Cp to her. Sometimes you'll find that most people who hate Coldplay have never actually listened to their music before and only go by what they hear from other Coldplay bashers, as in the case of my friend.:dozey:

That reminds me of one of my friends. She says she likes Coldplay, but I suspect it might only be because she doesn't want me to feel alone. I was listening to Clocks on my mp3 player, and she asked if she could listen.

 

I gave it to her, and she said "Oh I like this song...um...Speed of Light, right?"

I don't mind being in the small group at school (actually, I know only one other person who likes CP, but I'm guessing there's more?) who like Coldplay. It makes me feel... hm... cool. :laugh4:

 

But I'm glad my mom and younger sis know them by name, and who's who. So I have some people to chat with!

I'm lucky too I guess I have friends with good taste. Well .. some. But none of them dislike them. They either haven't heard much of their stuff or really like them.

But I always battle with a friend who loves Blur about which band is better. Of course he's wrong and I'm right! And also with another friend who loves Oasis but they still like coldplay so it's all good.

My family like them too specially my brothers and sister. But they do roll their eyes at me when I tell them -excitedly- that Will has a baby girl and all of that
