June 12, 200620 yr best game of 06 so far for me Italy v Ghana. Ghana are unlucky to be behind, a bit more technical knowhow and they'd be 3 up.
June 12, 200620 yr i think the best game thus far was trini and tobago v. sweden. huge upset. the US disgusted me...i just hope that we don't end up 32nd again after the group eliminations. we have the worst goal differentials out of all the first matches played.
June 12, 200620 yr UGH! I can't see the game as of right now.. but I think they rebroadcast them at night on a Mexican cable channel here in the States... (Gracias Galavision!) ;) so... yeah.. the US got spanked.. and looks like Italy will do the same come Saturday.... can't wait.

June 12, 200620 yr Really one of the best games so far... :) The Czech Republic was also very good. Koller and 2X Rosicky (both playing for Borussia Dortmund) scored! Rosicky's first goal was incredible but IMO the best goal is still this one... ^^ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c_WUz0HQtE&search=deutschland-costa%20rica
June 12, 200620 yr ^ I know' date=' but I still hope they can do it... at least a draw could be possible[/quote'] yeahh, that would be nice!!! :D
June 12, 200620 yr :laugh3: lol its true though!! I'm surprised the US even qualified and Ireland didn't!! :stunned: Whats wrong with this picture??? Surely the US got in by some 'antics' right???

I think today's game opened up the U.S.'s eyes because they played like crap. I'm being totally serious in saying that the U.S. is a pretty good team. We just have to start playing smart and actually bring the game to us instead of the other way around.
June 12, 200620 yr lol its true though!! I'm surprised the US even qualified and Ireland didn't!! :stunned: Whats wrong with this picture??? Surely the US got in by some 'antics' right??? Yes that is why... You may think that I'm getting defensive, but the U.S. is just developing their soccer program. The U.S. qualified just like any other team. It's just like any other sport.... if any European team wanted to play the U.S. in American football, then we'd see the same thing. And also, the U.S. made a pretty good run last year. :\
June 12, 200620 yr lol its true though!! I'm surprised the US even qualified and Ireland didn't!! :stunned: Ireland were in a group with Switzerland :sneaky:

I know the team needs to develop, and by this I mean 'playing as a team'.... my friend saw the game today during his lunch hour.. and said it was disgusting how they played.. they just basically kicked the ball around back and forth.... I've heard good things about the team.. and I honestly am looking forward to seeing today's game for myself tonight... get my 'own' opinion so to speak other than his.. but, we need to learn how to play as a unit. The MLS is a good start.. but I don't think the American public is ready for this sort of game.. I don't think it will ever catch on as it has in Latin American countries and Europe and the rest of the world for that matter... lol my deduction... Italy is far more experienced, therefore.. they get my vote. IF in fact the US beats them.. oh well.. then I will become a bandwagoner and cheer for the US! lol I am however rooting for the obvious... <----------------- You make a good point though... ;)
June 12, 200620 yr Ah Ghana lost.....but they were cool....ok Koffours foul was erm weird... thans for the link Lars...I love this goal!:D OMG...........this way Lahm is happy about the goal.....awww...he is so cute!

There's this one kid in my class who is in love with Brazil and thus hates the American team and would not shut his mouth about the game. Quite annoying really. I almost decked him haha Although I'm sure that would go over well. :dozey: I'm just pretty aggrivated about the state of the team. I love soccer. And I wish the U.S. was better but I just can't take losing anymore. It's like any major league team that contiunally loses.... like the Flyers for instance. haha It's depressing. I'm just hoping for a new team on Saturday. Alrighty, I have to go and study for some finals tomorrow. I watched the game for 3 periods so I have to catch up. :laugh3:
June 12, 200620 yr hey.... next time that dude who is obsessed with Brazil starts on you again... ask him how a 2nd time World Cup attendee *ehem Ecuador* beat his mighty Brazil!! I hope they do get better.... it would be ace to have a US team thats worth watching.... I think they have the potential.. but, its been forever!!! I'm tired of waiting on these guys... :(
June 12, 200620 yr Tomorrow South Korea - Togo will take place in Frankfurt, but this time the FIFA decided that the roof will be closed, because of the heat and for better TV pictures. ;)
