Anyway, back on topic, according to the Israeli Bureau of Statistics, about 10,000 Israelis die from cancer every year, for Americans thats the same loss of life as three 9/11 attacks, or taking into account the relative sizes of the countries, its equivalent to about one hundred and fifty 9/11 attacks. Thats cancer that is. A far bigger worry than Hezbollah rockets.

I could go on forever with their shady reporting but I won't. I watch it sometimes and I just end up getting angry and shouting at my screen. I actually wish it was off air. Anyway. Thats what pisses me off, its anti bush people who think its the worst media. when there are literally thousands of newsgroups that are far worse, we have people out their doctoring photo's and selling it as the truth and fox is the worst? i mean c'mon have you seen any arab media? you cant even call groups like al jazeera news group.. fox is messed up but every news group is, but it is far from the worst.

Sure, I hate the way other news groups spread their poison...but in America I think Fox News leads the sickening spin and lies by a mile. I used to watch it all the time and because we can't see the US adverts over here it used to play the weather forcast loop....I knew the music in the weather thing inside-out I watched it so much.....I then worked out that the "no spin zone" was far, far, far from the truth. Okay, Lebanon and Palestine both have GDPs that are fractions of that of Israel, if a cure for cancer was found, its pretty unlikely they could afford it. The oil spill caused by Israel bombs is going to be a big carcinogenic thing causing cancer for hundreds probably thousands of Lebanese, it was directly caused by Israel. There are ways to fight cancer and there are means to research new ways to tackle cancer. I dunno how many Israelis are killed by Hezbollah bombs every year, I can't find the statistics for it, but I'm going to guess its about 50. So they're going to war over a threat that's a tiny fraction of the deaths caused by cancer. The current conflict has shown that Israel can try their damnedest, but they can't defeat Hezbollah, they can't make Lebanon love them using bombs.

BUT something that deep within a culture affects peoples views on this. exampe being in america there are people who are not racist but dont have a good view of black people because of racism being deep within american culture. so decision and opinions are not just affected by what we see, but deeper issues within cultures.

I hardly think enflaming the situation is a good way to respond though I don't recall the civil rights movement in America invading any states or killing that many people. Just lots of protests.

August 10, 200619 yr you are so shallow in respect to this conflict. if you were living in your house and the english (i'm using this example because you are scottish, lol) began launching attacks on you because you were catholic say, and just because you were there, but you have no other place to go... what would you do? let them slowly and systematically destroy you? that is the situation in israel. the jewish people fought so hard to establish a country of their own (israel is the only country in the world with judaism as its official religion) and have no other place to go except assimilate if you lose the country...
