June 28, 200619 yr Does the weather change your mood at the time? I used to not care about it, rain or shine, it wouldnt change me. But now, it doesnt drastically affect me, but I love a good sunny day, and if its summertime and its raining, it is kindof a drag. The long winter months of dark days and rain do kindof get to me lately. Its just strange how these things never used to bother me, even getting absolutely soaked in the rain, I'd just come home and dry up like it was nothing. I was like a dog. Woof
June 28, 200619 yr Reilly, you bastard! This was one minute away from being my thread. Anyway, it's been raining the last couple of days, feels a minute away from being a storm constantly. It's dull and miserable. But for some very strange reason i find this weather very settling and somewhat up-lifting. It was days and nights like this i used to sit up listening to music, which is exactly what I'm doing now. I even dug out the CDs I was into a few years ago for the full nosgalic effect. Basically dull days make me sentimental always, but generally other weather doesn't tend to play any part in my mood.
June 28, 200619 yr I don't care about the weather. It just kinda sucks when it's hot and slimey... I hate humidity. But really, I don't care. It's always hot in my room and I don't mind it being sunny/gloomy unless I wanna go and take pictures or something.
June 28, 200619 yr rain makes me happy somehow and I always go outside when it's raining, but it's not like I jump of joy if it's been raining a whole week non stop. I like sun too but most of the time when it's hot I get tired and lazy. I love thunderstorms :nice: I think they are relaxing in a way hehe
June 28, 200619 yr I believe it's all right when it's sunny and it's allright when it's raining. Texas sun is really a drag though..so I would take a rainy day over sun whenever! It's freakin humid here it makes you feel like there is NO air coming in through your nostrils! blegh. Rain is a bit relaxing. Gives you nothing to do outside, but dance.

June 28, 200619 yr Three words: Seasonal Affective Disorder. aka Hell on Earth. (Though sunlamps help) I can't even escape the rest of the time because when it's really wet for a long time I have trouble staying awake and my joints will hurt.
June 28, 200619 yr that is really SAD :( do you mean that's really sad, or were you pointing out the abbreviation S.A.D.? It's not really that bad for me, I've had it under control for a few years now. Fact is I could leave and head south if I wanted to but I like it too much here. One sunny summer day, and suddenly a whole year of misery evaporates :sunny:
June 28, 200619 yr sun always makes me feel better no matter how bad my mood is for some reason..... just a little sun makes me feel good.....
June 28, 200619 yr Both... In your situation...it would be better to head south. Tried that once, soon after I found out I had it. I ended up worse off than I might have been because I hadn't learned how to handle it, and I was far away from the family and friends who kept me sane. It was the culture shock that really did me in, though. We think of Canada and the US being so alike, but it really was a foreign country to me. Top that off with I go a little crazy when I'm away from the sea for very long, and I can't handle hot weather, and I'm just as well off at home.
June 28, 200619 yr the weather doesnt effect my mood, though sometimes it limits the activities i do. i love a rainy day with no sunshine, though its probably a time when i sit and think about happenings.
June 28, 200619 yr Author Erin thats awful! I didnt know it was such an extreme disease. Reilly, you bastard! This was one minute away from being my thread. Bhahaha! Reilly 17, Leggy 15.5.
June 28, 200619 yr I absolutely adore rain. Except when I have to carrie something together with my umbrela. But rain is really really nice!
June 28, 200619 yr I absolutely adore rain. Except when I have to carrie something together with my umbrela. But rain is really really nice! I generally don't have a problem with rain, either. I find it far better than when it's really hot. Then it's way too uncomfortable and I don't feel like doing anything.;)

I like rainy days in summer. But the weather can definitely change my mood.
June 28, 200619 yr Erin thats awful! I didnt know it was such an extreme disease. I DO NOT have an extreme case of it at all! I just made sure all my classes last year started later so I didn't have to wake up before the sun, and I hardly noticed a problem. But yes, for some people who suffer far more than I EVER have, it can be very extreme. Not to sound insensitive, but there is a reason that the suicide rate goes up drastically the further north you look.
June 28, 200619 yr Yes, I do care about it, not intentionally 'cos it's like an unsconscious thing for me. When the sun is shining and we've a nice day I like it 'cos it gives me positive energy. Otherwise, when it's raining and the sky is covered by clouds, it just happens the opposite to me, 'cos then I don't feel like doing anything.
