July 2, 200619 yr 10,000 pounds is a lot, but I don't think it was that crazy to go for the Socceroos... I probably would've gone with Australia rather than Italy as well (if I had that kind of money). Italy haven't been playing that well, their team spirit's a bit weak; and in football, self-belief and that never-say-die attitude counts for a lot... Man U would never have won their '99 Champions League if it wasn't for their fighting spirit. I suppose it's the going for the underdog thing and not knowing when you're beaten that Chris identifies with. Plus they're touring Australia, which Chris keeps saying is a great country- guess you've got to put your money where your mouth is :laugh3: Good on you, Chris! :lol:
