COLDPLAY'S CHRIS IS SUCH A LOSER

DON'T take any "hot" tips from Coldplay's Chris Martin. He is £10,000 out of pocket after backing Australia in the World Cup. Chris, who is touring Down Under, had great faith in the Socceroos - until they got knocked out by Italy.

He admits: "I lost a lot of money because I gambled on Australia getting to the semi-finals. If you play with that much passion, you deserve to do well. England need a bit of that Aussie passion. We need to be thinking, 'We could die tomorrow, so let's start playing the best we can."

You tell 'em, Chris.

I'm confused. Was he going for Australia of England in the World Cup? He must have been crazy to have bet that much on Australia. (I'm not European so I don't know how much that is but it looks like a large number!)

Wow that was a lot of money, hehe he could have given the money to me :P

btw Chris gambling?? :P

Yeah I can't picture him doing that either. I always thought of him as a goodie two shoes! :)

:) lots of money!!

Austrilia presented some wonderful matches 4 us,but England is my best love~~

lol now I know why he said those things against Italy:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: ROFLMAO

Unlucky for Chris, not only did the ref rob the socceroos, he apparently robbed Chris of 10000 pounds hahahaha!

But good on Chris for supporting us haha!!

he must have known deep down they wouldnt win!! thats what i call livin in hope...........

he gots some money to play! :stunned:

He's craaaaaaaazy!

What in the world could make he think Australia was going to win?

I mean, no offense to Australia but hey Italia won the World Cup 3 times! o.O

Hehehe.....I feel bad for him but it is very funny!!

A bit too much money bet on them though Chris!

:laugh4:

This is how you take advice from Chris.

"Chris, which shirt? Green or blue?"

"Blue."

"Green it is."

The end.

THat's around $20,000 US...roughly. England was his first love but Austailla's spirit impressed him...Oh well, I guess it's Kraft Dinner for Aplple and Moses tonight...YEAH RIGHT,LOL!!!!

He's craaaaaaaazy!

that means absolutely nothing. :dozey:

brazil is ranked number 1 in the world. they didn't even get into the semi-finals.

aww bless him :nice:

10,000 pounds is a lot, but I don't think it was that crazy to go for the Socceroos... I probably would've gone with Australia rather than Italy as well (if I had that kind of money). Italy haven't been playing that well, their team spirit's a bit weak; and in football, self-belief and that never-say-die attitude counts for a lot... Man U would never have won their '99 Champions League if it wasn't for their fighting spirit.

I suppose it's the going for the underdog thing and not knowing when you're beaten that Chris identifies with. Plus they're touring Australia, which Chris keeps saying is a great country- guess you've got to put your money where your mouth is :laugh3: Good on you, Chris!
