What albums are/will rock?

Featured Replies

I'm a huge fan of so many different types of music, and I just want something to blow me away. Something to get stuck in my head and let me sing it everywhere I go... haha, it's been a while. Anyway, I just wanted to know what albums everyone is looking forward to getting or recently got....

Editors- The Back Room is my fave at the moment (not exactly that new though! Im forever singing it...:D

I'm really looking forward to hear the new Evanescence album "The Open Door" which is coming out October 3rd! :D

Thom Yorke - The Eraser

David Gilmour - On An Island

You should listen to this two amazing records....

Wow, thanks for all of your suggestions. I have a lot of stuff to check out, keep you posted.

i posted this in another thread, but thought it won't bother you if i'll post my list here as well ;)

1. Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies - probably the best album of the year so far, if you want good indie pop-rock with some blues and jazz effects, you MUST get it!!! genre: alternative/indie pop-rock

2. Thom Yorke - The Eraser - a solo effort of one of the most influential artists of all time and it's great. and it's THOM YORKE!!! so you must buy it anyway. genre: alternative/electronic pop

3. Guillemots - Through The Windowpane - the biggest surprise of the year for me, i downloaded the album some hours ago and after the first listening it made my top 5 of the year. wow! genre: alternative/indie pop-rock

4. The Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics

5. Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche

honorable mentions:

- TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain

The Killers - Sam's Town

It's out in early October. You can hear the first single "When You Were Young" on their website right now. It's such an amazing song. Even if you don't like the Killers you should check it out, its different than their previous album.

Keane - Under The Iron Sea
