The "What did Materazzi say to Zidane" thread

Featured Replies

apparently, materazzi told zizou that he was "a son of terrorist whores" because his family is Algerian, and therefore Muslim.

words CANNOT even come close to how bad i want to beat this man into a bloody fucking pulp.

EDIT- ok, wasn't racism an apparent theme in this world cup?!!?! all the captains spoke out against it...and Materrazi goes against EVERYTHING that FIFA was trying to prevent!

for those saying zidane is completely at fault here -

let's have a scenario:

i call you a c unt, tell you your family are terrorists because you're muslim, and piss you off for an entire 120 minutes.

you then hit me in anger.

then you get blamed for it all, and i get none of the blame, despite the fact that i started it, provoked you, said horrible things to you, insulted your family, insulted your heritage, insulted your religion, and made a racist comment.

hmmmm... okay, that makes alot of sense.

i don't care about what materazzi said to zizou..zinedine did wrong anyway...and..

CAMPIONI DEL MONDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!thanx ITALY!!

i love how all the italians on here keep saying "it doesn't matter what materazzi said, zizou is still completely at fault" :dozey:

the instigator should be punished to the same extent.

materazzi is a dirty little bitch.

he's dirty little RACIST bitch. :censored: :censored: :censored: :furious:

players like materazzi bring shame on such a beautiful game...

dirty, dirty, dirty, that's all i can say.

I heard it was possibly a racist comment (referring to his Algerian roots).

That's what I've heard too, he might have called him 'fucking algerian' or something like it.

gosh i wish he didn't react... who knows what would have happened if he was still there for the penalty shoot outs - it's zidane's specialty...

Oh this ist just a nightmare.. It's horrible what Materazzi did, I wish he was punished as well.. You're all right, I haven't even thought about the racism campaign they started - Materazzi is a complete asshole, I would have done exactly the same thing like Zidane! The only thing you can blame Zidane for now is the fact that he didn't wait until the game was over!

precisely so! this is why i said before that what materazzi had said did matter - it can change alot of things. sometimes a persons actions in response to something, has a reason behind it, and sometimes, yes - their actions are justified.

I agree with you. I have a friend who punched a guy who called him a dirty Turkish and who has insulted him the while before as well.. Of course it wasn't right to punish him, but I can relate to that..

How can words justify violence? I mean seriously Zizou, just shrug it off because you know it's not true. Any insult's not worth headbutting someone over.

Therefore, I say it is entirely his fault; he apparently can't control his reactions.

It's not ENTIRELY his fault..

Just imagine this situation: Your family is from Algeria, you're a muslim, you had to fight against racist comments all your life. And then one dirty Italian keeps insulting you and your family 110 MINUTES LONG - sometime you simply can't control yourself anymore!

I know, he should have waited until the game was over, that's the only fault he made..

alot of people can't, and over such a touchy, sensitive issue, i don't blame him - at all.

Well I guess it's just me then, cause I don't take offense to basically anything...

hahaha that's true.

i know i am a very emotional person, and nothing angers me more than racist comments, so to me, zizou's reaction is justified because of what materazzi said...

It is justified to a certain point, but not on the field, you know.. But in this second, I guess you don't think of the consequences, you just lose control and want to take revenge..

yeah, that's true, i agree with you there. he should have left it to after.

"zizou, if you want to hold the cup you should use your head"

and more on materazzi...

dominic - the drummer from muse. :nice:

Oooh I didn't recognise him, shame on me! I LOVE Muse, their new album is brilliant!!

hehehe! he looks different in it, i know :P but yes, their new album is fantastic!

and more on materazzi...

that video scared me, really.
