The first time I saw Coldplay was on MTV.

In My Place was being broadcast.

I loved it instantly and thought Chris Martin looked like Vincent Van Gogh:laugh3: ,my favourite artist(Actually Chris is handsomer).

At that time my computer was broken down and I lost all my Cantonese songs:o

So I became Coldplay's fan and listen NO MORE CANTON POP now:D

in 2002 when AROBTTH was released, though Coldplay were only one of the bands i liked. i became addicted in March-April of 2005, in the pre-X&Y release era

I think I never was a Coldplay fan, but I think they're one of the best bands

around.

 

I started to like them a few months before AROBTTH was released.

I saw the Dont Panic video and a few hours later I bought Parachutes.

Well I got a Mixed CD and Yellow was on it amd I really like the song. But I was looks for the song Clocks, because I heard it on the Peter Pan movie trailer and a HBO ad. I would ask people do you know the name of the song or band that sings it and because nowone around here really likes Coldplay I did not get the answer till about 2 years later when I was watching VH1 and they played Clocks. So I would say about 2002 I was a Coldplay fan and did not even know it.

i became a "fan" when yellow was released. i rented the cd tons of times from the library:laugh3: . When AROBTTH came out i was like man these guys are just awesome, and then Pre-X&Y was when i just got hooked on them.

I liked Coldplay since in 2001 I saw yellow for 1st time, but I became a fan til In my place video.

In 1999, with Such a Rush....

I was dating a Brit gent in 2002 and he bought me a copy of Parachutes. I was hooked on the first listen.

I liked Yellow when I first heard it, but then it was played too much on the radio that I ended up hating it. I hated Coldplay.

 

I then kept hearing Clocks and fell in love with it. One night one of the local TV stations were showing a hour special of 'Live 2003'. I watched it waiting for Clocks to come on, but all the other songs I heard I fell in love with aswell. From then on, I have discovered they are an awesome band. I think they have an amazing sound, and Chris has an amazing voice. Ive been a huge fan for the last two years now.

i was kinda depressed for some time and for some reason i downloaded The Scientist (haha; that was back in 2004) and from then i wanted more and more and more.

so i bought AROBTTH, ... the rest is history.

but i knew a lot of their songs before because they are so well-known and often used on tv :dozey:

Well...I've been a Coldplay fan for some two months now...guess I'm young, huh? My first song was Speed Of Sound.

 

I saw their top 10 at vh1 and...kaboom!

I really became a Coldplay fan in 2004 when I bought A Rush of Blood to the Head...I'm still not sure why I did, though, cause I only had like 4 of their songs before that. Whatever, it was one of the best decisions of my life. :D

Well...I bought all three of them with knowing only one song!

well... I'm a bit "young" too, but not too young. I became a fan when I saw them perform Fix You at live 8. And then, from there, I slowly became an obsessed coldplay fan.

I had a couple of their songs that I liked on my MP3 list for awhile. The Scientist, Politik, Clocks, and Trouble.

 

So usually when I find with songs bands I like, eventually I go looking for more. Well, I found more. haha So one day I just went out to the store and bought all their CD's at once. So now I'm a fan! =)

 

It doesn't hurt that I like them as people as well. They seem pretty cool.

Me nd my bro saw The Scientist video! nd we were all like "That is so cool how its going backwards!!" lol yea...then I realized that i had heard some of the Parachutes album songs! YEP! Then when the Speed of Sound video came out I ALWAYS watched it! I seemed to kno when it was gonna come on! haha :D

I didnt completely like them as soon as In my place and The scientist were released, i just liked them. i listened to AROBTH because of pure curiosity and i luved it. But i became a hardcore fan as soon as i heard Trouble, when i listened to Parachutes. I call that they, best day of my life. :D

When it first came out, I loved Yellow initially, but I was stupid to follow my peers' opinions of "Wow that's the dumbest song ever!" Oh those embarassing middle school years...how I wanted to fit in... :angry:

 

A few years later, VH1 kept playing a bunch of Coldplay songs from the AROBTTH album, and my mind opened up again. The Scientist got me to like them once more, and I figured they'll be around in the music biz for a while. I bought their album, watched the DVD, and chose to be a fan of Coldplay.

 

It wasn't until X&Y came out, Coldplay's "Talk" performance on the EMA's, and going to their concert back in February was how I became OBSESSED! These guys are the real deal to me. :)

Uhhmmm. When I was 9 in I first heard my sister play Yellow on her computer. :) I liked it, I think, but I didn't know it was Coldplay or anything.

 

Then when I was 11 (or 12?) my sister was playing Clocks on the piano. "Hey! I can play this song on the piano now," and I didn't recognize it at first, and she showed me the song and I liked it. :) I started listening to more Coldplay and they were the first band I ever liked. :blush:

when i heard parachutes. My brother had a "illegal" copy of it, and i borrowed it! :p

About 2-3 years ago (I think) they were playing God put a smile upon your face and Clocks in the radio.

I fell totally in love, and had to buy the album right away before I would have gone crazy.
