The main teachings of it, is to be kind to people and to love one another. thats not dangerous at all.

Well 1/5 of the core beliefs of Sunni Islam is charity... that's about as informed as I am about Islam.

and islam is not a violent religion. its just been hijacked by extremist who use it for political reasons, much like the catholics did in the middle ages.

i'll say this:

 

the arabs beileve that if the kill themselves during a terroristic act to help them obtain their goal they'll die being a "shahid", and go to heaven and get 70 virgins.

 

dont tell me their religion isnt promoting them to be terrorists. I'm not saying Islam as a whole is like that. I saw an interveiw with muslim girls in NY, and their teacher told them that the palestinians in Israel are sinning when they do this...

i'm just saying- in most of the cases where muslims are involved in terror, it's usually part of religion, and not part of some national idealism.

Christians are people who belive that Jesus was the prophet promised by god, while Jews don't belive and are still waiting, and Muslim belive that the real prophet was Mohammed.

Now Christianity gradually became the dominant religion in Roman empire, and gaind a lot of power after it's collapse.

Around 11th centuary happened the great schism, where western Church(the Rome) and eastern(Constantinopolis) separated because of different issues.

Western is called Roman Catholic Church, and easter is called Eastern Orthodox Christians.

So it was all fine and dandy until about 16th centuary or so, where Martin Luther started reformation, which created Protestanism, which is mostly spread in northern Europe and U.S.

So as you can see, you can not compare Catholics to terrorism and Islam.

Because Islam also has different denominations.Islam per se isn't considered terrorism, it just depends on how people fancy to interpret it.

Catholicism is by the way the largest Christian church in the world.

There is also this thing called ecumenism that strives to bring all Christians together, but since you don't know about it, you would prolly called them terrorist.

Oh yeah btw, how do you interpret Christianity, it really interest me, what do you belive is the "right way" and such.

I have some very close friends whom are muslims and they would be upset at its reading. They are all very peaceful people....

 

I am just certain there are inbreads out there with views of nadafolds..rednecks... boboans, personally if I could get my hands on them I would send them to my re education center for some considerable time. Make love not war...

I have a problem with this statement.. what gives 'us' as westerners the right to believe that anything else in the world is superior...? I mean, this is the way another part of the world lives. Period. There are some parts of the world in which they eat bugs everyday as we do say meat and chicken.. does that make them 'savages or primitive'??

you're right, religion is man made so the catholic belief is man made, but true christianity is not man made, its a relationship between mand and jesus.

Ok, confessing sins to man, jesus didnt want that, the pope. jesus spoke out agaisnt having people like that. many key beliefs of catholics go agaisnt what jesus taught.

Catholicism wasn't just thought up..... no religion was. Its all belief!!! You won't be able to convince others that their religion is bogus.... and how the hell is Christianity any different than that of believing in Christ?? Its a big territory you're covering there.... like it or not.. Catholics are Christians... if you believe in Christ... you're a Christian..

yet this thread's title does not seem to be a topic of a discussion, rather it is like a statement..and a wrong statement..indeed it is...if you really do research about islam you can clearly see it is not..trust me it takes 1 day at most...i mean you can discuss if Quran was changed or not, if Mohammed is a prophet or not.. if you don't belive Islam you really can think one of them..but to say the sentence in the title is totally meaningless because Islam is described in Quran and if you totally read it you can easily see the result...

 

i don't mean you must believe it...if you don't, you can just say i don't believe...

 

it is something like "Murder is allowed in the X country"..you know although the majority of the people in that country is against murder; there exist such murderer people.. and they are punished by the government...
