Driving License

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just wonder how many of the young adults between 17 and (let's say..) 25 "already" have a driving license?

My friend just started taking driving lessons and I just got a shocking e-mail from her, telling me full of excitement how much she enjoys driving FAST - she drives 100 when 80 is allowed, and stuff like that, you know.. It was kinda shocking because it's just her THIRD lesson so far and her dad is actually a pretty irresponsible, horrible driver as well. I'm sorry, maybe I'm overreacting, but these are the people who will once cause accidents.. Horrible imagination!

What do you think? What's important to you when driving?

I don't have my license.... :( My brother just got his P-Plates but I hate being a passenger with him because he is way too careful. If I talk to him while he drives he slows right down. If he was in a 60km zone he'll go 40km!!!!!

I got my license when i was 20..:)

how do you wear airbags?

Hmnmmm...what is important to me then?

Good question...

I've got my license since 6 months now....

and being a "forward" driver is important to me....

I mean being really aware....and to concentrate...this is important to me...

Ok..OK.... settle down, there is no point using sarcasm with you Marek.

I don't have my license

I passed when I was 17....but I dont have a car...just drive my mums when I need to.

I feel that its important to be constantly aware of what the people in cars around you are doing as well as yourself....especially people in front. You can never trust what anyone else will do!! also keeping fairly close to the speed limit, especially in builtup areas (not too much on motorways)

ps.Naty...your avatar is very :drunk: nice! Luke!

thanks

my brother (20) and sister (19) both had theirs when they were 18 ... now i'm turning 18 and i have no plans at all to get my license ... i know i should but i still have 4 drivers living in my house so i really don't need it yet

I don't have a license yet. I was wondering how much does it cost in your countries to get your license.. because here it costs $200

and I never have time to take the driving courses

that's a lot of money ... I don't pay that much here because my dad will teach me. It will probably cost be about € 15 to do the exam.

I've had my driving license since 2004. It was quite expensive then, now it's much cheaper.

My license cost €350...:\

i'm only 15 ...so no driving license for me

but i wanna start taking lessons when i'm 17.

(people get their driving license when they're 18 here in germany).

mhh... my sister got hers a few years ago and she had an accident like 4 months later, but it wasn't her fault. some idiot crashed into her because he didn't have any lights on and he was driving waaaaay too fast!!! :veryangry: :veryangry2:

I had my full driving license since i was 17 years and 7 months old, when i passed the test first time around.

But bearing in mind, I was driving on private land in an old austin 1300/mini-metro since i was about 14 learning the basics off car control.

So I had my license for 2 years and almost 20 days, and with only one accident which wasn't my fault.

I got my driver license when I became 18 years old. My exam was exactly one month before my birthday, but in Germany you'll get the driver license with the age of 18, so I had to wait.

Today, I can't imagine a life without driving a car. ;) I really like it, especially on the motorways where you're allowed to drive as fast as you can here. :) Luckily I didn't have any accidents yet.

I've got my driving license about 1 year ago, when I was 19.

In America, you only have to be 16 years old. And it only costs $15, which is very cheap compared to other countries.

I passed when I was 17. The younger the better I'd say.

yezzzzzzz, I got my lisence when I was 16 annnnnnd I used to drive fast all the time like your friend... but my parents are very careful and always drive no more than 5 mph over the speed limit... the fastest I've ever gone was like 110 in a 55 (like 180 kph in a 90 zone) but... a lot of people I know have gone faster... I know someone was going 140 mph...... (225 kph)
