July 24, 200620 yr Radiohead because they're more experimental than the beatles ever were :) I must say I disagree with that statement. Look at the comparissons to music before and after Sgt. Peppers. There was nothing like it before it and it influenced a generation. I don't disagree that Radiohead are experimental, but saying that The Beatles weren't is a bit of a poor call. So many bands wouldn't be around right now, one of almost definitely being Radiohead (although probably not directly), if not for The Beatles. And I do realise that you said that Radiohead were more experimental and not that the Beatles weren't experimental at all, but The Beatles were almost definitely more experimental than Radiohead. They were pretty much the first band to use any electronica and synthetic effects. Don't get me wrong, I like Radiohead and The Beatles pretty evenly (maybe even Radiohead more).

Of course there is no band that is considered 'the best band' for everyone.

July 25, 200620 yr Why everyone find so shocking Beatles are winning...to me it's quite..normal :confused: And if no one here ever speaks about them it's just because they're not publishing records anymore...and we can see that we don't talk too much about Coldplay neither now that the album has been out for more than a year and the tour is just over. People talk more about Radiohead now because of the album to be released, because Tom York released his album, but if there's nothing new from a band it's not so weird if no one talks about it ;)
