You can make it in an easy way. You just have to take sugar and heat it. I don't know if there has to be another thing, but caramel is melted sugar. :D

My preferred popcorn is salty, with extra butter. I'll eat any of the buttered variety, though. I also like caramel corn and kettle corn. :)
