debs is awesome she just has the unfortunate job of informing us on bad news and getting the facts straight, but as soon as there is good news, its wow thanks debs!

why would you discuss someone's personality on a public forum?

 

PM her and tell her your opinion vis-à-vis but stop fucking discussing someone behind their backs, because it's disgusting

how do you regard this talking behind her back when it is in a public forum that she visits and is free to view? i agree it wasn't the smartest thing to make a thread about it because that shows poor consideration for Debs' feelings and yeah he/she should've PM her, again showing poor taste in judgement - BUT - we all discuss some facet of someone's personality on here, so i don't see how this is any different.

 

 

 

With that said, I think Debs is an fantastic woman and an intelligent lady who has helped enrich our lives by helping to discover Coldplay, and that alone, nevermind that fact she regularly updates the website and keeps fans up-to-date with anything Coldplay related, makes her a top champion in my book who does her job exceptionally well. You rock Debs!

i will create a thread about how mean you are at a forum which you visit only in your free time (some hours per week - according to her post history) and after someone will tell you "hey, there's a guy says you are fucking mean"... how would you react? how would you feel when people would discuss your personality??? especially if you can't be on the forum to reply to the post

 

this thread is obviously about personal problems which normally are being discussed privately and has nothing to do with Coldplay. should have been moved or locked in my opinion

to be honest, i really wouldn't care enough to post a reply but that is beside the point. did you miss the part in my post that said it was poor judgement? the thread is here, people are going to discuss it, AND if you read all the posts in this thread, you will see that he/she was asking "why is debs so mean?" and after some constructive replies, he/she now gets that Debs may have been under stress about the DvD etc. this possibly could've answered other people's thoughts about something similar. the person didn't say "Debs is mean" it was an enquiry, as in seeking info which people have provided to help answer.

Can you please just stop discussing it? It really looks pretty hypocritical to discuss someone who's not here. If everyone got the point, let's just stop it.

Obviously seeing a thread asking why I'm mean is going to get me looking to see what it is that I've done to upset someone enough to call me mean. I still don't actually know exactly what is that I said or did that was mean but I just wanted to say....

Thanks to everyone who said nice things, especially Mr Ian.

 

I'm not mean though and it is as someone said, the written word being misinterpreted. It isn't always easy to word everything with smiley tones and so to put a point across, I do perhaps skip the niceties. I also tend to get quite passionately cross when people slag the band off, but I can't help it!

 

I'd prefer the title to have been, "was Debs being mean?" and then say what it was, as now it just looks like it's a fact by being a rhetorical question!

Where is this about, cause is this still about the dvd ? Cause Debs can't help it that there isn't coming a dvd.. Debs just knows this information and passes it through to us.. You should complain by the things who wont make the dvd

I hope Debs doesn't take it seriously. We are all pleased with the fact that she tries to answer the questions on the offical website as much as possible and give us the current news, although some of them weren't enjoyable. But it's not her fault. ;)

THAT, is what i meant to say, I really didn't intend for this to come off as DEBS IS MEAN, but as a question asking if DEBS mad about something and responding a little harshly, and about his being behind her back. like the other guy said, this is a public forum, one that Debs reads, i pretty much assumed that Debs WOULD read it. it was not intended to be derogatory, just a question! and the reasonn i didn't PM Debs is becuase i figured she gets about a MILLION of those a day, and i didn't want to bother her anymore.

If that was really your intention then, please, next time make sure that you don't start a thread that appears insulting or misleading.

I'm sure the thread wasn't meant to be hurtful, but come on! If you saw a thread called 'Why Is Im4dadevils such an a**?', you might be offended! Debs jumps in here and offers answers where she can. She should be treated like any other member of the board. Not greater than, or less than anyone else.
