So any other Aussies up to anything interesting? Getting close to the end of winter now :) so glad

Thank fuck for that! Bring on Summer! :sunny:

I tend to keep my political views to myself, it prevents conflict :wacky:

Also, I generally just don't like politics. I know it's essential/important etc but all the bitching that goes on annoys me to no end!!

Politics is boring. :dozey:

I have no idea. He's too churchy. :uhoh:

man wish all this election crap would finish already. i cant stand abbott being PM but i know gillard will be a crap PM.

I think it's hilarious that there's a hung parliament :P

I have a feeling the independent parties will swing towards labour but hey, only time will tell I guess :P

  • 3 weeks later...

well grace u were right!!

labor in power now. but only for so long if u ask me. i hope they can roll out this broadband network before anything goes wrong. australia's an aging nation which struggles to understand or comprehend the importance and value of technology, so it's vital that they install this network before the old people get to have their say again in an election.

Haha, so I was!

Hmm, not so sure about the broadband network. I mean, it would be fantastic and all, but shouldn't we perhaps be paying off the debt from the last government..?

Hey there Aussies. I'm going to see U2 in Sydney this December.

What will the weather be like?

I've never been to that side of the world.

In December, it is summer, so expect warm. :P

I'm not sure whether it's possible you'll get rain up in Sydney or not in December, down in Melbourne here we can get December rain

Whoah, dedication!

In Brissy we're much more likely to get summer rain than winter rain, so Sydney's probably somewhere in the middle of Bris and Melbs :P

It might be a bit humid too, I'm not sure though, I've never been to Sydney in the summer!

im assuming you'll be at the sydney gigs??

well they will be held in the west of sydney and an average summers day in that area (i live about 10mins from the stadium) you're looking at about (for your sake ill speak american) temperatures around 95F cooling down after 6PM and with ur level of dedication im guessing you'll be getting there early. if its a "hot" day you'll be looking at something over 105F.

regardless, wear shitloads of sunscreen (or sun block i think u lot call it) and even though it might look very uncool put on a hat and a light coloured top/dress.

of course if you're planning on getting to the venue after 7 or 8PM you'll get to enjoy a typically pleasant Sydney summers evening :D

I have to admit, your summer evenings up there kick ass. Here they can get a bit stinky and unpleasant.

Haha, one night early last year we stopped over in Wagga overnight, and it was probably the hottest summer evening I've ever spent, ever. It was terrible, thank god our trailer had air-con :P

Up here it generally just gets humid and so pretty much stays at the same temperature 24 hours a day

Nah, but seriously, summer is such a fantastic time here. There's just such a vibe from everyone that puts a real smile on your face :)

I'd rather Ellen to be honest, she's much funnier.

In news that's probably more exciting (for me, anyway :P), I finally bought a mac today :smug:

Let's fart on her for forcing us to endure RE-RUN after RE-RUN when we're bored in the early afternoon and surf to Channel 10.

Oh is she?

Haha! I got a 13 inch white macbook, also 2009 edition. I kinda wanted to go the pro but decided I didn't really need it, thought I'd save the few extra $$$ it would've cost.

It hasn't taken me nearly as long as I thought it would to get the hang of it either, after a couple of hours of playing around I worked everything out.

I love it  I think we'll get along juuuuust fine :D

And I love JB Hifi for conveniently timing a computer sale for me! :P
