What are the bands that you stopped listening to !?

Featured Replies

Coldplay. Ever since that X&Y rubbish came out..

I once was a hysterical Nirvana fan, but then I started to play guitar, and realised how poor their music can be : I can't bear any single Nirvana song now, except the very last one, "You Know You're Right".

And, just like Nik, I got sick of Queen a few years ago : the only album I can listen to now is A Night At The Opera, plus some timeless wonderful songs, such as "We Are The Champions", which I listen to very rarely...

im in a *no-coldplay* phase.

same, i listen to a song a week if i'm lucky...i've discovered a lot of new music which have sort of pushed coldplay out of the spotlight for the most part.

bands i no longer listen to anymore...(keep in mind with age comes wisedom, or in my case, taste)

the calling

aerosmith

n'sync

spice girls

tatu

boys II men

backstreet boys

eh, i'll stop there, thank goodness. seriously, what was i thinking...i don't think i was to be honest, thinking or listening. in my defense i was young and mtv was the only thing available at the time so the whole "pop" thing was drilled into my impressionable mind.

I was a big spice girl fan :P And i liked blue and the rasmus a lot. I used to listen Oasis' date=' the smashing pumpkins, keane, stereophonics, and ohh :embarassed:....Britney spears..but thats long ago :P[/quote']

rad-cold welcome i am Pallavi.do you like The Rasmus.Ok tell me

what are their best songs you listened.

is it....in the shadows..fucking song really...from finnish band.

oh...god

i listened to sail away.

ok do you like frontman Lourie Ylonen.:laugh3:

rhcp... I used to like them some time ago but can't really stand their old stuff anymore since I don't want to remember that time

and I guess I also don't like radiohead anymore... and green day :uhoh: ;D

:uhoh2:

Uhm i liked liquid..But i dont listen to them anymore

and i dont like the singer :P

i stopped listening to Shakira some years ago, and i also don't like any more Keane and Evanescence.

But well, i can stand them and they have good songs..

I stop listening Nickelback...The songs are all very similar...

^that's actually very true in my opinion, hehe... ;)

im in a *no-coldplay* phase.

well, it sometimes happens to me..

maybe i don't listen to them for a month, and one day i feel like listening to their cds..

but not now.. i'm happy because I'M SEEING THEM LIVE ON FEBRUARY 22ND ^^

surprisingly I haven't listened to much Coldplay this year... :( I don't know why.... but I am definitely looking forward to the 4th album.....

Coldplay. Ever since that X&Y rubbish came out..

^:shocked2:

I used to listen to... a lot of different crap, not one specific band

But that was a long time ago... before Coldplay

And I was young when I started to like good music- gotta give Coldplay credit for that, helping me discover better bands.

I liked Pink Floyd since I was born though!! I basically grew up with them! :D

mmm

evanescence

^Oh yeah, same here

Not listening to 'new' Coldplay that much.....

A few songs from X&Y (White Shadows, Sqaure One, Low, Swallowed In The Sea, Speed Of Sound) still get the odd listen but other than that it's mostly older songs and b-sides when I do listen to them.

Shakira,, i used to listen to her when i was ... 8

and Green Day,,, i hate them so much now!! i dont really know why,, but i cant stand listening to them

I used to listen to shakira as well , but i mean i think the first album was the best one .. sence she started writing in english her music became wayy to comercial

surprisingly I haven't listened to much Coldplay this year... :( I don't know why.... but I am definitely looking forward to the 4th album.....

Sounds a whole lot like me :(. Except that I havent heard much from them for the past 5 months...

I have to many to mention basically but anyway...

I was really into Rolling Stones when I was really fucking young, and Spice Girls. I loved Britney's first album when it came out and Eminem. Eminem is still pretty good, or his two first albums are but I don't listen to him at all these days...

These sounds exactly like me, except for Eminem, always hated him :\

Led Zeppelin, just because yeah.... their music stopped meaning anything to me. Same goes for quite a few classic rock bands, like the Who and Eric Clapton and all that... especially after he insulted U2 and all that. He annoys me a lot now :laugh4: :uhoh: Errrr anyways.

Yeah. And kind of Coldplay, for no reason other than.... not sure. A lot of other bands have started meaning different things to me that are important at this juncture in my life. Doesn't make their music any less great, or poignant to those who still love it at ALL. ;) Just for me, at this time in my life, there isn't room.... I suppose.

I used to listen to shakira as well ' date=' but i mean i think the first album was the best one .. sence she started writing in english her music became wayy to comercial[/quote']

I went to shakira's concert in november and definitely her best songs are in spanish... Inevitable was the best!!

Actually I have had a re-listen to some artists lately!!

Linkin Park' date=' though credit goes to them for getting me into music.[/quote']

ditto
