Whens the last time you rode a bike?

My dad has the same condition too! I personally don't mind the cold. I still enjoy the wind now and then.

I kept giving my bicycles to homeless people, and they kept getting stolen, so it's been a while.. I really do enjoy riding - lately I've been walking to the store instead..

Last time - hmm.. maybe 1 or 2 years ago(?).

last year!!!

hey chuck, no more colorful posts??

About 1 and a half years ago. I'm hoping I can still ride it though, juuuuust in case a meteor crashes into the sea and causes a huge tidal wave so I can weave in and out of cars in the traffic jams just like in deep impact.

... well you never know...

yesterday...I splurged on a road bike before christmas and now I ride at least 3 times a week, out of the city where it is really quiet and peaceful its pretty cool.

Chris rides alot :)

Chris cannot ride a bike,if some of his crazed fans saw, they would just crowd him,and make him angry.

I thought he does so in London? Well, maybe just my imagination..:dozey:

Well there he would get run down and die from pollution..:laugh3:

When I did my paper round.

Wouldn't dare ride a bike on these streets though, no cycle lanes and narrow roads. Eeep

yeah, it's quite dangerous nowadays.

i live at the countryside though, and there are loads of routes that are used just by bikes and stuff.. that's really good. i ride my bike almost every day in summer.. :D

last time i rode a bike was about .5 of a mile down the road this summer to my neighbor's house (a husband and wife who also happen to be my former history and english teachers...) to feed their cats while they were on holiday. a car cut too close to me and i felt like i had to bail off, so i did...and my legs were spliced open on the back by the pedals. needless to say, i still have the scars.

the time before that was christmas 2000, when i got the bike. my brother and i took our brand-new bikes out to the driveway to try them out, and i promptly broke his arm by bumping him from the back and making him fly over the handlebars. made me not want to touch the thing for a good 7 years.

Yea, I used to ride a lot here too - but the traffic, and the way people drive now, it's pretty risky! (living near a touristy site, and all the people who are on cell phones, or who just don't seem to care one bit when you're on a bike, and they get wayy too close - I was forced off the road and into the ditch a few years back as well..)

I like what San Diego did - they have a bike lane, with actual concrete curbs (barriers) between it and the traffic lane. Apparently, some SUV drivers have been known to hop the curb, but it's rare, and it really works well!

I keep thinking about presenting the idea to the state for bike paths in the park, as well as all over the area - it would be nice, and I know they would see a lot of use from pedestrians, bikers, runners, skaters, etc..;)
