January 15, 200917 yr Foggy England? Sounds Picturesque! Here, it's a lovely -20C, and dropping.. IIEE!!! Why do I live in this god-forsaken ice box!:stunned:
January 15, 200917 yr It's been really cold here today, especially with the wind chill!:bigcry: At the moment, it is 25ºF. And its supposed to get colder each day for the rest of the week, :\ Though we are supposedly getting snow after midnight tonight and tomorrow morning, but the weather people are always wrong so we'll see.
January 15, 200917 yr Banana belter!!:P Jersey sounds like paradise compared to here. Since it was -20F last night, I guess I should be happy it's only -2F right now - a massive improvement! Still, I'm not sure which is worse .. 100F or -20F... I think I'd try the 100F for a while!
January 15, 200917 yr Here in Colorado: 27°F Current: Snow on the ground Wind: N at 1 mph Humidity: 56%
January 15, 200917 yr my desktop weather thing says it's 16 degrees F here now, but with windchill, i bet it's about -2. i love cold weather :nice:

But it was kinda warm here and then it got cold all of the sudden. Weather has been so weird around here lately. I'm hoping for some snow tonight that actually sticks to the cement!:D Living here lately has also kinda pissed me off cause last week everywhere on the east coast had snow and was cold except here:( even philly!! and that's right across the delaware river
January 15, 200917 yr That's a good sign - it means Jersey is a warm place to be!!:) Yes, I think a snow-less winter would seem a bit odd too - but then here it might as well be Antarctica given our weather lately.. Minimums in the northern hemisphere generally are reached this week, so it can only get warmer (on average). I'll send you snow, if you wish - we have a good 1.5 feet of the stuff, and probably another foot or two before the end of winter.. It's perishable though - better to put some cooling coils in the ground first!:P:laugh3:
January 15, 200917 yr I have more fingers than there are degrees in Fahrenheit at the current temperature. *brrr*
February 1, 200917 yr snowing  it was snowing in Madrid this morning when we left the city :cheesy: in my city seems it has been raining :)
February 2, 200917 yr Was a cool and a rainy February, from the window I was looking...and there was SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FUCKIN' SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha! first snow we've gotten all year in Tennessee, and it's the thickest, fastest snow fall I can remember! Looking up in the sky is just surreal! It was so sudden to, because it was just raining at the beginning of my class, but by the end my friend back in knoxville text's me saying that it's snowingly epicly, and 'lo and behold the same is happening here! I'm so happy...I feel like a little kid (tears of joy)!
February 6, 200917 yr First spring day here in Germany I'd say! :D I went shopping in Oldenburg a few hours ago and I didn't need to wear my jacket. What a lovely day! So mild and sunny! :nice:
February 6, 200917 yr Anyone else here interested in meteorology, or am i the odd ball again?
February 7, 200917 yr Bryce, are you sure that's not smoke coming from an active volcano??:laugh3: Hot and fog are two incompatible species generally speaking.. Meteorology can be interesting. I've always been amazed at how clear and intensely blue the sky is after a big snowstorm; usually colder afterward, so it must be the high pressure dry air - but so incredibly blue; less scattering of light it would seem by water droplets, or is it because the bubble of high pressure air is thicker, therefore more scattering of light outside the blue part of the spectrum, so we see a more intense blue? Just curious!

Just curious! I am studying to be a meteorologist and hopefully I'll work for the national weather service one day... I don't believe that an area of high pressure could make the sky intensify in color, I have never really noticed that the sky is any more blue after a snowstorm really. It could be the fact that snow storms tend to last longer than regular rain or thunder showers, which makes you used to seeing a dull gray and white sky for an extended period of time, then all of the sudden high pressure dominates and brings in clear skies. You think that it has intensified because you aren't used to it. I am not really sure, I'll try to bring the subject up in class!
February 7, 200917 yr We are officially at 43 degrees F. That is 43 more than yesterday morning. This is good, I can go for a walk. Winter go away!!!!
February 7, 200917 yr Jizooooooooo. hahahaha. nice website. Except it must have the mentality of someone living in the desert. Anything over 20 F is considered warm to me.
