Sorry guys it's the society we live in. The paps can't just go away because more will just come to take their place. What we should be more annoyed with is; the fact that there is demand for 'news' and pictures like this in crap like heat magazine.

 

I made pretty much the same comment on another thread. You're so right. We wouldn't have this crap if there wasn't a demand for it.

Having demand is one thing... but people go overboard. I mean, it's nice to see some pics of a celebrity you like every now and then but where's the line? Sometimes it's just too intrusive. Mum was telling me about some pics they got of Fergie (as in the Duchess of York, not Fergalicious...) and one of her guys on some island somewhere and the photographer took the photos through a telescope. Things like that are too much, and so is taking picture after picture of people as they come out of a restaurant. There should be some sort of law about how close the paparazzi can stand to the people they're taking pics of.

Good point. If any of us saw Chris walking down the street, we'd probably snap a picture if we could...but I hope none of us would get in his face and follow him around relentlessly and interfere with his ability to live his life.

 

Unfortunately, there are lots of people out there who would. As fans, we respect the celebrities we love. Paps don't give a damn who they're hasstleing, as long as they're famous. Bloody vultures.

Yeah, something like; they should only be able to stand between 15ft and 17ft away. No closer or further away :laugh3:

IMO the underlying issue with the paparrazi is the response they get from celebs when they show up. Chris Martin highlighted that perfectly when he covered his face and swore at the cameras.

 

If Chris had acted normally and simply walked on and drove off, we would have stopped talking about it already. Whether celebs like it or not the paparazzi are here to stay and the less ammo they give them the better. A boring picture that we've seen a thousand times before is the least they can hope for.

That is true. I watched this show on TV one day and it was about paparazzi and how they worked.

It said that sometimes celebs acted smart and so the paps didn’t get the pictures they wanted.

All they have to do is simply make a pose and smile in front of them and it will ruin everything (for those paps).

Chris and Gwyneth’s reaction are exactly what the paps wanted.

If not they won’t have a photo to sell and a story to tell.

But, they’re only human with why-cant-you-just-leave-me-alone mood sometimes. :)

And that restaurant "The Ivy" is like the most famous for paps being there... all the celebs hang out there... so why get upset if you know are going get pics taken? Just make a stupid face and go about your business. We all know Chris can make some stupid faces ...or just don't go to those kind of paps places.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with a lot of you.

 

Yes, it's dumb that the photographers are following them to a restaurant and want to flash a million pictures but guess what, that is reality when you are a high profile actress and a musician. Is it right? No, it isn't but it comes with the territory.

 

You see other videos of people who act perfectly decent and normal and they are treated much better. Like someone else said, if Chris & Gwyneth would have come out and smiled and said hi and have a good night, they would have taken the pics and they would have been on their merry way. But no, they want to make even more of a scene about it and be jerks (more Chris of course). Saying "F-off" is just trash talk and plain rude. They were not chasing them down the street, running after them, being rude, they were taking pics, BIG DEAL.

 

The other issue is, Chris & Gwyneth call more attention to themselves by not wanting to be photographed together, like it's some big surprise to the world that they are together? That in itself shows a constant self-obsessed couple who feels they are so important to everyone else that the must do things like walk out of dinner separately. C'mon.......

 

I love Coldplay's music but I think Chris needs an attitude adjustment sometimes.
