Who's Phil?

Phil = Phil Harvey, the band's first manager and "fifth member" as proclaimed by the band. He took a break after Parachutes wo get a degree of some kind and apperantly he's back.

So Prospekt = Phil, or at least there's a good chance of that being true? Hmmm...This is stupid but he has interesting handwriting...This is also stupid but I love how everything is handwritten on their site - so much more personal! (I dunno if this was the case w/ the old site cuz i never saw it..) Anyway "Prospekt" talking about tension in the studio makes me a little worried....

They'll be fine. :) There was tension making the last album at first too.

Coldplay don't have easy albums. They've always had tension recording every album.

Why would Phil call himself Prospekt? There's no reason for him to do that.

 

Has anyone thought of the possibility that Prospekt could be Timbaland?

I say this for a few reasons: I know he said we was working with Coldplay in an interview and In the hip hop world, people use fake names all the time. But then again, I fell like Timbaland wouldn't be popping in and out of the studio, like Prospekt said he was doing; he'd be in there working hard.

So I guess, as "Prospekt" said, I guess it's good that there's tension. Thanks for the reassurance though -- i'm always scared they'll break up or someone will quit...

I'm 100% sure it's not him. The way this person is writing is in a way that makes you feel as if he's known them for awhile.

 

He says in the April entry that Brian Eno has introduced a discipline that never existed in previous album sessions. Or in the more recent entry he says something is "as usual" as if he's been there before. Also says that he's never seen Coldplay so willing to be led. It's someone close to them, someone that already knows them.

 

I think the name is just to make you wonder who the hell it is. Maybe we'll find out the meaning behind it when hey are done.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the video for "Don't Panic" was added to the site recently.

Yeah I just found the Don't Panic video in 2001 and some photos from the Round Chapel gig in 2005 and a note from Guy! Whoop!

Am I the only one who never knows what anyone is taling about. Where are the hidden messages? How can CP afford to take off so much time?

Which hidden messages? I don't mind the band taking time off, they've been touring X&Y for practically 2005, 2006 and the start of 2007 - I'd want a break too lol.
