I have to admit, 8 days with no Radiohead has really taken its toll on me! Haha.. I feel like I'm gonna explode out of excitement!! :D:D

'Nude' sort of reminds me of 'How to Disappear Completely'. :nice:

I love "Nude" its so minimal....:heart: This album is so pretty! I love every song except for videotape...Im sure I'll learn to love it after I completely grasp it entirely as a concept :) *listens again*

I'm having such hard time in wanting to repeat each song like a billionth time each time I finish listening to one. hehe..

But I have to finish listening to it as a whole first.. then I'll indulge myself with each song. :nice:

my big question is: Are they going to make the bonus songs available on the commercial release in January? Are we going to have a double CD option or just the one CD? It doesn't seem fair that these songs would only be available by purchasing the disc box set. I love all those bonus songs and want them badly, especially down is the new up!

 

Please if someone can shed some light on this question or anything

Yeah, Videotape could have been so much better as a recording.

 

My only main gripe.

 

(ALSO - The songs all seem to end/fade quicker than normal Radiohead tracks - maybe it's a digital download thing due to the lack of cross-fade on almost all Mp3 players.)

not very particular about that cross fade thing but I must say overall, this album is great. Pretty straightforward sounding.

I've gotta say that i'm not a huge radiohead fan..but after hearing the first 2 tracks i was pretty impressed. It's just so..beautiful! :nice:

 

I still haven't finished it but it possibly can't turn into shit anymore.

 

Mwah, honestly, i didn't think Radiohead could release such a good album anymore (go ahead and kill me if you want to :lol:) I mean, it's their 7th album after all! And it's pretty impressive that they still can do something this great after all those years.

I agree with you on Videotape. Though it's actually a really good recording, I just can't help but think of how great the drums sounded when they played it last year.

Videotape had more potential, yes... but it fits in very well with the rest of the album.

 

I get this really weird feeling when I listen to this album, its like nothing they've ever done before, like it takes you on an enthralling journey, almost like you're in a trance. The album has a very distinct atmosphere about it.

 

In terms of the way it sounds, its sorta like 60% OK Computer, 25% Kid A, 15% just feels new. Although as a whole album, you can't really compare it with the others somehow.

 

Nude is brilliant by the way. :)

my 3rd time since i have downloaded it 2-3 hours ago.

on my second listen,nearly done. first listen i was a little frustrated a bits, others i thought wow!

 

but i think this is going to be seen as a solid album, it certainly sounds more mature than htth. beautiful orchestral work, well done jonny :lol:.

I'm getting really into it now.

I mean listening at 3 in the morning was amazing but tiring heh.

I had it blasting in my car this morning in the city to school.

 

I am in love with 15 Step, Nude almost made me cry, and Jigsaw is sooo amazing.

 

And Bodysnatchers reminds me of Nirvana and I dont know why.

 

This record is sooo...dry and warm sounding. I love it. They've done it again.

I think you need to listen to it a minimum of twice to get its full effect. For me the record was 10 times better on second listen... amazing. :D
