Bought it for $9.99 today...then saw it for $7.99 at another store later on tonight :(

walked into starbucks today and they were playing the album on continuous loop. people were looking at me funny while i was standing in line singing along.

theyre selling it in starbucks as well, but for $15.95, which is more than i expected it to be sold for. i'm going to check the price at target, even though i really dont have any reason to buy the album since i've got the download AND the discbox...

Wow, at starbucks? that's crazy.

I never go there because of unfair trade and their coffee tastes terrible :uhoh:

$16? for a new CD? not that expensive. Here, they usually cost 17€. Takk is still 17€, OKC is even 18€ although it's not new at all (still, it's excellent :D), and The Eraser was also 17€ when it came out. I'd soo like to spare those 2 euros ... :P i know it's not that much, but you spare a lot if you buy a lot of cds ;)

It was funny, when I went to HMV to play the cd they had Weird Fishes blasting on the soundsystem. So of course I couldn't just walk around normally, I HAD to sing it out loud haha. I was trying to sing without moving my lips too much so I wouldn't look insane.

1st or 2nd night?

I would go to any of their gigs if I could.......no NA dates yet though. :(

no, youre right, thats not that expensive, but usually when CDs first come out theyre cheaper, like $9.99 or something at target or borders, and then they go up to being around $20 after the first week. maybe it was just because it was starbucks or something.

theyre not selling it whatsoever at target, which surprised me. i figured if starbucks has it then everybody that sells CDs would...strange.

Tesco (UK's biggest supermarket chain) doesn't appear to be selling it, neither does WH Smiths.

If it's a biggish album, the supermarkets normally fight to get the lowest price, I have seen some at £7.70 with no strings attached, and it going as low as a £5 if you buy something else. Normally after a week it returns to it's normal price of just under £10 for a while before the price generally gets lower and lower.

The Manchester one is clearly where it's at...

Psh.....

1st. You?

Do you think there will be? I'm getting really skeptical ...

there better be NA dates or i'll cry. i think there will be...really, what band as big as radiohead goes on tour these days and doesnt come to america and canada?? theyd be insane not to.

Even Mika's going to America and he's half the size of Radiohead! (one fifth to be precise)

this isn't happening here, unfortunately :(

perhaps starbucks will then rise the price... to more than $20 :uhoh: and that's not good.

the cd is nowhere to be found here.not in stores yet. :(

My friend called me last night, she was so shocked that In Rainbows is #2 on iTunes .. she thought they were some really sucky underground band that lived in a hole and for some reason I liked ... but she bought the album and loved it !!

By the way, two days ago I was looking at the album on iTunes and there were 60 reviews, now there's 435!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I'm really liking the having to buy two copies thing. My sister hates Radiohead. Can't stand them. But suddenly decided she likes 15 Step. I gave her my spare burned cd when I bought a proper copy the other day, and told her to listen some more before she judges it. She actually agreed.

Forget the Bends, if you're trying to get into Radiohead, listen to In Rainbows first. It really is their most accessible album.
