Me too....I got a "Discbox Dispatched" late night on the 3rd December........but still nothing.

haha I was just reading stuff on atease about people getting their discboxes dropped off.

wow, I did see a blue van parked outside of my house earlier and thought it might have been a delivery but he was going next door.

 

Anyway...it better come soon because I've held off downloaded the second disc, thinking I would have it myself already...

May as well continue to hold off, you'll like it I think ;)

Well yesterday I found in my mailbox a paper stating that the delivery had been put in the post-office for the following reason : "Absent receiver". Which is total bullshit : everyone here has remained home for the week since my father died !

 

But you know, in France, post-office workers are lazy and I'm at school every hour it is open, so I don't know how and when I'm gonna get it.

 

Just 'cause some stupid deliverer couldn't find the strenght to walk from my mailbox to my appartment (at least two floors by elevator...).

 

So, well, I'm quite pissed off. This is so unbelievable : a postman leaving a paper so that I go myself to the post-office and get my mail. That's his job and I'm paying taxes for him !!

Yesterday we were leaving the house and as we were passing the mailbox at the end of our driveway my mom said "Look Anna, there's a parcel, can you just go get it?" so I screamed "It's my discbox!" and flew out of the car to see, but the thing is when I jumped out my coat, scarf and cell phone were on my lap and they fell onto the ground and got all muddy and my cell phone battery fell out and my mom yelled at me...............all for a parcel that was NOT the discbox.

At hmv.ca the EMI boxset is only $50, which is a pretty good deal for all 7 cds.

Well I've finally got it. MY Discbox. This is a beautiful item. I've also listened to both CD's while working. Disc two is great.

 

I would've never guessed that DITNU would sound this way. I love Last Flowers and 4 Minute Warning.

 

After I had listened to disc 2, here is the first thing that came to my mind : BOTH CDs FIT ON ONE ONLY 80-MIN CD !!

 

WHAT WILL AL GORE THINK ABOUT THIS ??

 

IS THIS THE WAY RADIOHEAD REALLY TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT ??

 

lol. Well, they really fit on one CD, with a possible transition between Videotape and MK1. Maybe one day they'll release it as one CD...

Ah yes. In rainbows. I must say it's my favorite since OK computer and my third favorite radiohead album of all time. The album, I think, has a very consistent, connected almost jazzy feel throughout. The highpoint for me is the three song stretch of nude-weird fishes/arpeggi-all I need. (weird fishes probably being my fav)

I like the jazzy feel throughout. You can feel that influence from Jonny doing that

And on a different topic; I'm listening to Videotape live from Chicago and frig I love it soooo much more than the studio. Especially the ending of it, it has that epic feel I think the song has, and the studio version lacks.

That's something I wondered from the beginningm of listening to the studio track. It's a pity, but we've got to live with it ;)

Eventually got my Discbox after I missed the first delivery. Very nice.

 

I must say the Photos and Artwork contained on the second Disc are really great.

^Yes that's right. Many already seen on DAS or Hodiau Direkton. I'm glad to have it properly.

Yeah. It is nice to have them at higher resolutions.
