I finally saw it too! I loved it. And I'm now totally in love with Jim by the by :heart:

 

But yeah, it was wonderful :nice: I especially loved this, spine tinglingly good!

I went into this movie with low expectations because I was scared the Beatles classics would be butchered. Boy was I wrong. The cast was amazing and I loved the adaptations of the songs. "I want you" was amazing with all the symbolism. Anyone who is a fan of the Beatles should watch this, heck if your a fan of music watch this its one of my favorites.

I love it so much... got both the movie and the soundtrack for my birthday. :D

 

Julie Taymore (sp?) makes me want to be a director. I love the way she sees the world.

I think Across the Universe was wonderful... and I'm not even a crazy Beatles fan! Oh, and Jim Sturgess is dreamy!

I looooove it. Have it on my computer. the soundtrack on my ipod. and Jim Sturgess in my heart. :heart::nice:

I love this movie :) I have the DVD, when I first got it it never left the DVD player lol And my Bono is in it <3 My favorite parts are the bowling/I've Just Seen A Face and the recruiting/I Want You scenes.

But besides Jim (who is HOT) I really liked the movie. And Bono Vox is great, I didnt recognize him until he started to talk.

As soon as it came out in my area, I went to see it alone because no one wanted to see it with me.

I disliked it when I saw it, thought it was weak and superficial. But my brother, who hasn't seen it, keeps coming to me saying that everyone he knows(wiser people than me) surporisingly thought it was an amazing movie. Maybe I need to see it again...

^^give it another shot. i didn't think i was going to like it at first but then i did! the more i saw it, the more i liked it.

I saw that movie 5 times in the cinema!! (I work there so I'm glad I don't have to pay)

 

The composition of pictures to the songs is brilliant.

The soundtrack is great as well. (My co-workers complained already that they had to listen to it but it was the same with the "Once" soundtrack: playing the music in the foyer of the cinema is the best way to get people's attention for the movie)

I was so impatient for the DVD to come out.

 

A thing that really annoyed me: Why didn't they advertise the movie more?

It should have been far more known.

They could have used all the guest appearances at least to attract people:

Joe Cocker, Eddy Izzard, Bono, Salma Hayek...

I don't know what went wrong with Sony.
