it's paparazzi's fault... I mean.. they can't even have some privacy outside an hospital.. that sucks

I just saw the video of Chris beating the pap. And while I'm in no way saying Chris was wrong I do think that he could have very easily just gotten into the car without a word and driven off. They didn't mob Gwyn or anything. However I did notice that Chris started getting into it only after the guy tells him Congratulations. I'm guessing the pap thought he could somehow get Chris to say thanks and that Gwyn was pregnant. I'm starting to think more and more that she did have some sort of pregnancy issue - scare, miscarriage, etc... I sincerely hope not but Chris seemed pretty riled up. Compare this to when they are out having dinner and get surrounded by photogs - they just cover their faces and silently get into the car. Chris's emotions got the best of him - and rightly so - most of us who have to deal with any kind of health scare don't have to do it with the whole world watching. My heart goes out to him and Gwyn...

i can understand why chris got so mad.. when someone who doesnt have a clue about whats happened say congratulations, your gonna get angry. she might have (hope not) a really bad illness and some random gut says congratulations. i think thats well out of order

GO CHRIS!!!!!!

Yeah totally agree mel.

That was a side of chris I have never seen before.

In the past I have been apathetic towards paparazzis and had no interest in the ET celebrity tabloid thing, but after seeing that and how chris reacted, and rightfully so, I can see why people frown upon these people so much. Sure, they're trying to earn a living but some areas are just out of bounds and if these guys call themselves pros then they should know how staunchly chris and gwenyth have been in maintaining a private private life.

I mean come on trying to trick a guy (doesn't matter whether your famous or not) into confirming his wife is pregnant when the issue for all he knows could be something much worse...thats really poor form.

The guy who stands up for the paparazzi in question sounds pretty tough:rolleyes::rolleyes: and he really helps things by calling chris a jerk.

I also like where he says to chris 'your meant to be a father', and somehow that puts him below this guy who has been stalking chris and an ill gwyneth aswell as threatening to break the door of their car:laugh3::rolleyes:...tool.

YES! That's what I'm saying - its like those paps knew - hey we can totally get this guy to blow up. I wish Chris had just kept his head down and gotten in the car and not given the paps the satisfaction of having this video that is now all over the internet. Add up this health scare with his wife and the tremendous pressure of trying to put out an album - then multiply it by 1000 because you know hard Chris is on himself. I feel so bad for him.

I've just watched the video. Chris was totally right to snatch the camera. He got out of his mind and I do understand it.:veryangry: The paparazzo shouldn't have done that. When you go to the hospital, it doesn't mean you're pregnant. In the US, surgeries are in hospitals most of time. If you have a flue or any sickness whatsoever, you must go to the hospital. In France, doctors run their own surgeries but you can also go to the hospital to visit them.

I think chris can't stand these paparazzi anymore..

Hahaha...

That was a fun little scuffle.

"Have some respect!" t-shirts seem the obvious choice.

Or remixing the video to include the Aretha Franklin smash hit "R E S P E C T"

I've just watched the video and I know some people don't like sympathy or anything but I feel so sorry for Chris and the family having jerks like that following them. Horrible.

It's kind of funny how the photographer's buddy has a voice perfectly suited for some kind of mafia croney in a movie, it was so perfect it almost seemed VO'd. But in all seriousness...these people have no soul.

Aww, Chris needs to control his temper. He really made it bigger than it was, and now he's only going to be made to look like a douche. He and his wife have bad reps in the presss and this is the last thing they need to add to it.

The paparazzi need to fuck off and stop pretending they actually care about either of their well being "u okay Gwyneth," "congrats Chris!!" It probably pisses them off even moreso. If his wife was in there for something negative to her health...he probably was tempted even more to stick it to them. But Chris should have just done like Gwyn and ignored them.

The WANT that crazy shit, it's bigger money for them when they get a crazy reaction shot. Then at the same time, they can sue try to sue Chris Martin and get even more.

I don't get why in interviews he acts like they don't bother him, they really really seem to. Probaby wayy moreso than they bother Gwyneth.

Horrible... In my oppinion Chris did react as everyone would have act in this situation. Who could stand such paps? Hope Gwyneth is doing fine by the way!

Typical New York photog! "Yer suppose to be a fathah!" are you serious?! Dude, think about what you just said. He's protecting his family against rats with cameras! That's the ultimate job of a father! We should make "show some respect" t-shirts :D

This is horrible. Poor Gwyn and Chris. I'm really angry. :veryangry2:

:laugh3:

And I like how he calls Chris a jerk. Yes. Of course Chris is the only one in the wrong.

word. poor chris.

Sounds like it to me! I would want to do the same, if they kept bugging me as well!

I think what we often take for granted is our right to privacy, and what that really means. There are good reasons people have a right to privacy at times; even a right to be left-alone in public! It would drive me nuts to have some camera fanatic 24/7 taking pictures.. Plus, if you've had a bad day, imagine how extra-annoying that could be. I say, good for Chris! Sock it to em!!;)

Oh yeah,it would destroy your life to the point where you would beat one to a pulp!

Chris did what a loving husband would do for a wife that is supposedly going through more personal health issues. That video camera guy.. oh man I just wana punch that guy in the face "what a jerk" he says "you are a father" I would have took that camera too

I don't get why in interviews he acts like they don't bother him, they really really seem to. Probaby wayy moreso than they bother Gwyneth.

i think its probably really different when youre expecting someone to ask you questions and take your photo than when youre just trying to walk down the street or get home after a night in hospital. i mean, they can hardly even go outside without being swarmed, and to me thats just sad. that would piss me off too, all those lowlifes that follow me round just for a single shot that they can then SELL. interviews are consentual and planned, at least the kinds that we see chris acting normal and cute in, and you can like, mentally prepare yourself for the barrage of questions, which are usually more thoughtful than just "OMG are you PREGNANT?" and "why were you in hospital?!" actual reporters and interviewers ask about the MUSIC and their work, which is undoubtedly much more comfortable to talk about then the most personal and private aspects of their private lives which none of us need to know about.

i have to admit, though, seeing the video a second time was more shocking :stunned:

Nice little video I uploaded

Apparently its pathetic

classic moments, "give back the camera or this door gets broken!"

-- followed by a more asinine comment from a dickhead

"you jerk! you're supposed to be a father!"

--- the paps have no life, and this video just proves it. Sure, just because they're famous obligates you to stalk them to no end? you're dead wrong. I know it's a bit of acting involved because they expect a retaliation of some form so they can show everybody else how much of a "jerk" you really are. why don't they try to take pictures of me coming out of some public toilet inside a electronic store and see what my reaction is. hmmm? they are so full of shit, and that is what they get paid for. Harvey Levin and those asshats at TMZ get hard-ons from this crap. My only wish is that if it were the same situation again, but this time Chris is a 7'2" behemoth compared to a scrawny ass pap that barely reaches 5 feet.
