He's 19 and your 21 (I think), so 2 years isn't a major age gap, my parents have roughly the same gap, and they have been married for 25 years last september, so nothing wrong with 2 years.

 

It's when it gets down to 5 years plus, like a 40 year old man dating a 21 year old, it gets strange.

his age doesnt matter if you think he is the right person for. having read what you said in this thread, i dont think you do.

 

anyway what i wanted to say is that it might be awkward being friends with him. if he really sees you as more than a friend it probably isnt a good idea. its rather hard to deal with it if you see someone regularly and you know there is no way you can be with them. he might also think that you might change your mind because you must like something about him if you wanna spend time with him.

 

i so know how you're feeling. unrequited love sucks.
