Surely they will publish it officially, now that we know....

The new site is NOT a fake. 1. it's ON the official website 2. it's far far too elaborate to be a fake. The dates on the "announcements" are probably just filler dates (maybe the date the code was written). Only thing to look forward is exactly when this new site will be up and which version they decide to use. If it's ON the site now, i don't think it'll be long AT ALL till they switch over. It would be cool if they still incorporated the "older" site into the new one though.

if the famous painters link is NOT referring to the album title then i think the best backup option for the new album title would be 'life in technicolor' just because of how colorful the new design is... im really starting to warm up to famous old/new painters though :D

i'm still squeeing 9 hours later!

 

haha, when i first came to this page earlier and read the first few posts (there were like 4 at that time), i didn't know what to do. i just sat there blankly for a second! and by the time i'd posted my post, there were like 7 more up in the time it took me to write it!

 

its funny that i convinced myself all morning that we would definitely NOT be getting any big coldplay news today because it's monday etc etc, and the ONE day i think we wont get anything fo'sho, we do! my life seems to work like this all the time, so i should have known, i suppose.

I get a feeling of The Decemberists on the design and theme of the webpage. That's a good thing. :)

It looks really interesting, I can't wait until they update the site, I wonder if they will announce the album title and release date soon.

theres been a new star up for a few hours now about the pemberton festival... surprised it's not up here yet. also referring to hidden links... on the garden state star there is a link to a youtube video in the grey area underneath... dont know if anyone else saw that..

this's good :) the dates are made up tho.

Looks like slenderfungus caught on...the link goes to their website now :embarassed:..or maybe it's just my computer..sigh

So I pop out for 5 hours of school and this thread grows by 14 pages. :shocked2:

 

Through closely inspecting the other bits painted onto the designs other than Viva La Vida, I noticed that there was also Chinese Sleep Chant, Death and All His Friends and the start of a phrase: I'd be Blue on newlook6.

 

newlook4 and newlook5 also have some writing over the top of a blue map of what seems like a map of South America (Paraguay is seen on one). The only words I can make out are we all kn (know? kneel?), falton and last.

 

Viva La Vida also appears on several newlook pages, some even with the Coldplay logo, so it's probably a very important bit of text we need to keep in mind.
