may is such an exam month. :veryangry:

My exams begin May 19th, so I've got two weeks to enjoy before hell breaks loose.

But I'll finish my exams two weeks before the album comes out, so that's great timing! (and just before the Lost season finale :P)

If you're both a Coldplay and a Lost fan! You will be delighted with track number 3 of the new album (Viva La Vida), 'cause it is an aching piano ballad that chronicles the tumultuous relationship between a pair of lovers (Martin and Paltrow?) as they attempt to catch up with Lost's fourth season by watching DVDs of the first three in marathon sessions.

The chorus includes the refrain: "Who are the Others and why can't they breed? / And what will become of Kate, Locke, and Sayid?"

Cheers!

Hang on... I checked the link to see if it was reliable information, but the only thing I found was a guy called 'TGAC' saying this:

"Goes for adds on May 6th."

Now I must be missing something here, because I wouldn't call this reliable information at all. And for me, that sentence makes no sense. So why is everyone celebrating already?

hmm. i'm skeptical yet hopeful all the same. is that possible? well, what i mean is that i'm not getting my hopes up, but i'm still looking forward to it just in case it is true. i mean, it is early, but if they might be giving us another track as well through the website or whatever, they might just be making htis one early to space out the releases. who knows though?

surprisingly, i don't have an exam on may 6, but it is a studay day for my astronomy and astrophysics final that thursday and my art paper due thursday as well. in that case, if this is true, i can make a tiny window of time to come on here and rip it apart with y'all :D

I dont think this person just made up the date for no reason. Anyway I am a frequent visitor to that site and they are always accurate as far as release dates go. Hopefully I can find some concrete info on the release date. Ill keep you posted.

Allow me to show you what the poster on that forum did.

Exactly! There's no basis for this release date whatsoever. Late May at the earliest, I think. But who knows, everything is speculation at this point.

Th would be awesome:P

Im excited but Im not excited. Its like Ive been waiting for so long for this album and these singles, checking this site everyday. Now that they're actually coming, its a little sad for me, like the end of an era.

*fingers cross* There's just so much to believe, I can't decipher which ones to believe or not! :P But I really do hope it's true.

That's entitled "Available for Airplay" so surely that means that's the date we first hear it, not the date it comes out? No?

From that link:

5.05-6

All Time Low "Dear Maria, Count Me In" (Hopeless/ILG)

Coldplay "Violet Hill" (Capitol)

The Offspring "Hammerhead" (Columbia)

Shinedown "Devour" (Atlantic)

Sick Puppies "What Are You Looking For" (Virgin)

Thats good enough for me, even if it isn't being released that day. Thats only like 2 and a half weeks!

And hopefully... *coughitwillleakcough* :P

It'd better! I'm sure someone will have their recording / streaming equipment ready when it comes on...

Everyone Check this out!!!

This is a track-by-track preview of the new album..."Viva la Vida or Death and All his Friends"!!!

It's great and it really gave my an idea about the album and also why Chris Martin said "not everyone will like our new album"

It's definetly different, but this is a great article and I strongly reccommend everyone read it!!, I'm so glad I found it!...

As soon as its on the radio we will have it one way or another.

If I have to TAPE it from the radio and run a line-in to my computer from my crappy tape recorder, I'll still post it if no one else does first,lol...but I'm sure it won't come to that.:laugh3:

I know that...just clearing up the confusion ;)

most of the songs have a 'CLICKHEAR' Button! WHY CANT VIOLET HILL BE CLICKHEAR!!!!!!!!

Violet Hill

One of the strongest of the new songs, the band is considering giving it away as a special promotion in coming weeks and then leaving it off the album. Opening with a jagged distorted guitar riff, the song announces a new template: The stalking, bluesy beat fits nicely with Martin's earthy vocals and plaintive lyrics: "If you love me, won't you let me know?"
