I'm afraid I won't like VLVODAAHF

Featured Replies

It scares the shit out of me. Nervous! I wanna love it, but... It's like they've said. Everyone won't like the new album and I'm afraid I won't. Anyone else feeling this way?

It's natural. We've been waiting for so long for LP4 that our expectations are very high and we're very easy to disappoint. Fortunately I am confident that they've worked their magic again...yes, they've said not everyone will like it, but I'm sure they said that about X&Y...and Rush of Blood...and Parachutes. It's just modesty, I recks.

Oh, come on.. don't be afraid.. have coldplay ever disappionted you? they are great and we have never heard rubbish coming from them.. relax and be optimistic!!!

^Hello Claire, I don't think I've seen you around, welcome to the forum

Don't worry, every band says their new album is going to be so different, inspired by dance music and african music or whatever and eventually most of those albums are pretty much the same

Thank you! ;)

How can you feel bad about an album, which hasn't even come out yet and - more important - which you haven't even listened to?

Don't let all those moaners and naysayers drag you down. Stay neutral and wait for the album to be released - then you can be disappointed or sad about it or whatever. Feeling this way beforehand is kind of sad, in my opinion, sorry

I'm not scared at all, the few people (most of them admittedly biased) that have heard it, loved it.

Jo Whiley said she loved every song and it could be a classic. I have faith.

No point worrying about it though, if you don't like it, you don't like it. Not the end of the world

I think everyone is scared to hear the new album.. We've been waiting it for so long.. and now.. It's here..

we're always afraid about we don't know..

but there's one thing that we know.. this album will be different.. but that doesn't mean that it won't be good..

so.. be patient my friend!

Time will tell..:)

i have a feeling i might not like it

lets hope they blow our minds

It's Coldplay. Even the shitty songs are good.

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

I hate hate hate High Speed tho

I hate hate hate High Speed tho

that's kind of right.. I hate A whisper :sifty:

BUT COMMON!!!

WE'VE WAITED FOR THIS THREE ENTIRE YEARS!

it will be good ;)

it will be a kickass album don't worry

i hope i down't expect too much after 3 years of waiting

If this is the biggest worry on your mind you've very lucky.

Now why don't you wait till the LP comes out before posting stuff like this?

High Speed and A Whisper are both awesome tracks!

And I disagree with the sentiment here from most people... it's probably healthier to have a moderate skepticism about how good this album is going to be, that way you'll be pleasantly surprised.

A wise professor once said, "The key to happiness is low expectations." In our modern society, we want everything to be perfect or we're unhappy. Instead, we should approach life like a child (for whom everything is new and different).

I remember the first time I listened to X&Y and I was so critical of it because I was carefully picking it apart in my mind as I heard each song, and comparing to to the other albums. This time I'll just give VLVODAAHF a passive go-through where I'm dividing my attention between it and something else... if the album is any good I'll know.

exactly

This gives me an idea for a new topic...

i'm afraid i won't like tomorrow night's dinner.

seriously... :dozey:

first.. I don't think they created something so different to the previous stuff... so If we like their previus albums I think we will like this one...

also.. it's just an album... even if we can't wait to hear it.... it's just an album and it's totally ok if some fans doesn't like it

in my case I'm sure I'll like it since I really like the previous 3 albums. maybe it'll be my favorite one or maybe Parachutes will be still my number one... who knows
