Well, I guess I can't accuse her of being as annoying as Yoko, lol. But I'm still not a big fan of her voice.

True. Unlike Yoko Ono, you can understand what Gwyneth is saying...even if it is nasally driven. ;)

i havent heard much, but i love that song, cruisin´, or whatever it was called, that she sang in duet with a man, i dont remember who...i think it was for a film she acted in

This will be my last post here because I am apparently upsetting too many people here. I will say my peace and move on. I thought we were allowed to express our acclaim and criticism of the band but apparently that is not the case. Maybe I went overboard but so did most of you. I did not attack anyone personally except that person from Boston because NY and BOS have a little rivalry if you didnt know. Anyway here it is...

I didnt realize Coldplay fans were so yellow. Get it...Yellow? LOL! Actually I am still a Coldplay fan but B-VLV (Before VLV) so I guess I'm part Yellow too. Seriously everyone needs a chill pill. I am not getting upset here...you guys are. I'm entitled to my opinion so if I want to bash the band for creating music I think is shit than thats my right. For ignorant people like you who do not want me to bash your beloved band....just deal with it. The funny thing about all this is that all you are getting all bent out of shape and Im not. Being defensive is not a good sign. Seems like a lot of people are going overboard in saying good things about the songs. Things likethis is the best song ever or best Coldplay song ever! Gimme a break. What if there is a better song on the album. Will that be the best song ever ever? LOL! Or maybe best song in the history of music or the universe? You have to right to say you love the music and I have the right to say I hate it...end of story. By bashing myself and others you have created a forum that will only have positive posts so you are not getting both sides of the story. Do you think anyone will post any criticism of the band after reading some replies I have received? Dont think so.

I have supported the band throughout the years by buying their CDs and DVDs and watching, listening, and sharing their music with as many people as possible. So for someone like me to feel like this then you so-called Coldplay fans should take notice. Plus its not only myself that feels this way, I am just more outspoken about it. Trust me I have shared this new music with some of my friends and they thought it was a joke. I stated right after X&Y that the band was headed in the wrong direction and I was right. I am just trying to understand why it is so easy for fans to embrace music that sounds nothing like the band they were fans of. If another band that you never heard of released this album I guarantee nobody would pay any attention to it. Anyway good luck everyone!

i agree with you, we have the right to say i don't like that thing, i hate that thing as we have the right to say i like it, i love it...

but really what had happened you here? i mean you say that people bashed you..

and you are right too on the point that they changed their direction in music on X&Y, but for those ones that disagree with it, i have a simply question? what did you expected from them instead of what they've done? really i'm curious about it.

i don't build myself a castle of the next album, i mean like have a very developed and clear idea of i want it to sound like that... and seems that those people who got disappointed had built a castle about the new album, anyways at this point, thank that they had worked with Eno and not with Timbaland :stunned:

for instance for this album i expected that their 'spanish' influnce will mean some spanish guitar parts on any song or some lines in spanish, is not any of those on the songs leaked and i'm not disappointed.

music is free, totally free, i mean you can like just an album of a band and hate all the other albums, so if you don't like coldplay new work, you can listen other bands, and if you like coldplay next albums in the future you are right to come back here and share your 'love' to that album.

anyways i wouldn't judge a whole album for just a few leaks, the album songs could be very different of how some leak song sounds, and plus bands use to variate their sound once they are on tour so... is too soon to judge the new work imo.

is sad that you had taken the decition to leave the board, but well is your decition.

It was Huey Lewis she sang it with. She's technically quite good, but Chris's voice has all the soul in that family, lol. (Just my opinion though. No offense to her fans.)

"can speak from experiance"....Chris`s end is tight!, lol...

I can say I snuck my fingers up Chris`s sweater when we were taking pics...

he was laughing when I had my hand across his belly, because I located his bellybutton, and made the 'Pillsbury Doughboy" laugh..(woo hoo!)

`Told him I was glad to see he had an "inny" which cracked Jonny and Will up:laugh3:

Holy Muffins! This is gold! You need to put this in the Chris thread!!!:D

Thanks for sharing. Did anyone poke Jonny's belly? ( I would love to! )

You better not or we'll bite yer head off :P first meeting Chris, then TWICE, but touching his belly? Pushes our jealousy, you know ;) :laugh3:

Hahaha! I think a few people would just faint!:)

THis started out as the worst thread of the day for me and now it's the best.

Yay for Chris's 'end'!

Seeing as this thread is about "The End" and it is in the "Coldplay" section, maybe we should start discussing when Coldplay, the band, will end. Any thoughts? Or is that too depressing to even contemplate right now?

EDIT: I decided it's too depressing.

that's scary.

a few more tidbits of gold

I have to thank my daughter for being the reason Chris and the guys blessed us with so much of their time....

She was pregnant(sadly very young as well) and this was her first concert ever.

She was content already when during the show, Chris left the stage, ran across the arena and up 2 levels, as he did at most places, into the crowd. He ended up 2 rows from us, we had aisle seats. She was over the moon at being so near him...

untill After the show,! when we met the band (minus Guy). When Chris jumped out of the Suburban, he zeroed in straight to my daughter, where he proceeded to excitedly rubbing her belly! He asked her a million questions about the baby, (ie..)

"Is it a boy? Agirl?" Are you having a water birth? We are having a water birth, you should have a water birth!"....on and on. The whole time, rubbin her belly...

See, she was due just a few weeks after Gwyneth was due, and I guess Chris was all excited with the impending event.

She didn`t get to poke Jonny`s bellybutton(she is too shy anyway, unlike me), but she loved meeting him..

Best fun we ever shared!

:)just a post note---my grandson was named Noah.."it`s biblical-chris martin", lol,

and he entered the world with the song "Yellow' playing in the room.

Noah just turned 2 and loves playing on the piano...we tell him he was blessed by Chris Martin..;)

hmm -- i don´t want to joke first post in this thread but it seems like ´death and all his friends´ , the last song.. :\

edit: maybe you come back happy again!?
