Buying tickets on 5th June, making necessary hotel reservations, buying bus tickets etc. Of course, first I need to persuade my parent to join me, as I can't cross the border by myself :( Oh, and let's not forget a Visa, that's going to be a major pain in the arse... hrobert
Coldplay - Viva La Vida Tour - Budapest – 23.09.08 Hungary: Hungary, officially in English the Republic of Hungary (Magyar Köztársaság), is a landlocked country in the Carpathian Basin of Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. Its capital is Budapest. Hungary is a member of OECD, NATO, EU and a Schengen state. Hungary was one of the 15 most popular tourist destinations in the world in the past decade[5][6], with a capital regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world. Despite its relatively small size, the country is home to numerous World Heritage Sites, UNESCO Biosphere reserves, the second largest thermal lake in the world (Lake Hévíz), the largest lake in Central Europe (Lake Balaton), and the largest natural grassland in Europe (Hortobágy). Budapest: Budapest is known as the ’Central European Paris’, due to it’s romantic atmosphere, beautiful buildings, sights and landscape. It has two major parts, Buda with it’s hills and forrests, ancient buildings, long history, and Pest, with it’s pulsating nightlife, more modern buildings and great boulevards which are very similair to Paris’ boulevards. The two part is seperated by Danube, which is the second longest river in Europe, and has many islands, in Budapest too. The Papp László Budapest Arena SECTIONS: http://www.livenation.hu/images/rendezveny_helyszinek/budapest_sportarena/budapest_sportarena.gif http://www.budapestarena.hu/ 1143 (means XIV. district) Budapest, Stefánia street (út in hungarian) 2 Ticket-office: 06 (1) 422 26 82 Reception: 06 (1) 422 26 00 E-mail: [email protected] The Budapest Arena is one of the most modern arena in Central Europe. It has a capacity of (at least) 2.500 to 12.500 people. It has a very modern sound and light technic. The field can be 8000 m2. There is a big park around the arena where you can park with your car, buy tickets int he ticket-office, or just lay down and relax. Ticket buying: You can buy your tickets at http://www.ticketpro.hu , you can read it in english too, here: http://www.ticketpro.hu/index.php?modify_language=en . Standing ticket is ’Állóhely’, Sitting ticket is ’ülőjegy/ülőhely’. Here is the proper link for the concert: http://ticketpro.hu/events.php?event=176 Public transport: http://www.bkv.hu http://www.bkv.hu/english/home/index.html METRO LINES: You can go to the concert with the red (2) metro, the "Stadionok" station is very close to the Arena. Budapest has a very overall and excellent public transport by international standards. The tram ’4-6’ is the busiest tram in Europe (it has 220.000 passanger every day). A wide variety of buses, trolley buses, trams and underground trains usually operate from 4.30 am to 11 p.m. At night 15 bus and 2 tram lines are in service. The three metro lines intersect at Deák tér, the town centre. The metros run at 2-15 minutes intervals from 4:30 to 23:10. "Éjszakai járatok" (i.e. night buses) run from 23:30 to 4:30 following metro lines M2 and M3, and major tramline routes. You have to purchase a ticket in advance at the terminals, at metro stations or newsagents. Single tickets are the same for each means of transport. Bus stations: International services of Eurolines and the Transdanubian services of Volánbusz arrive at the new Népliget station. Buses from East Hungary arrive at the Népstadion bus station, those from the Danube Bend at the Árpád Bridge bus station. Each bus station is connected with a metro station. Find out more at the site of BKV. http://www.bkv.hu/english/home/index.html If you need ANY help, pm me, or write your problem here.
