I am from atlanta and flying to new york for vacation the 22nd thru the 24th, and was praying to win tickets. but alas, no luck. im so serious about finding an extra ticket, its not even funny. i would pay ridiculous amounts of money to be in madison square on the 23rd!!! so anybody with an extra feel free to contact me. i just got off the phone with the company in charge of the tickets. the guy said event though you might of registered late as long as you got to the next screen saying, see you at the show he thinks it should work. he said they are sending confirmations out today or tomorrow. and he said when you get to the venue it will just be like a normal check in, they'll just scan the tickets and you walk in. so hopefully that's what they'll do just scan the tickets to see if they're legit and not check ids i doubt they'll check ids cuz that would take soo much time. other wise im going to just say i forgot mine and im commin from out of town.

 

oh and the guy claimed ppl who entered the contest from out of the area (out of new york city) still won and got emails just not as many.

I really hope that's true because I registered like 20 minutes after midnight because I thought the emails would be sent out yesterday and I never ever check that email and something told me to look and voila. So i really hope I'm not disqualified. I did see the "see you at the show" page. I just really hope I get the confirmation email. I would be really upset if I don't get the tickets because I missed the deadline by 20 minutes. :confused::(:confused::(

Was that your "you're a winner" e-mail or the confirmation that AFTER receiving that one that they also got your mailing address. It's this second confirmation that the winners seem to all be still awaiting...

But as has been pointed out, that confirmation has been pushed back to the 9th. But I would still assume that confirmation would come in the form of an e-mail.

So it seems there will be two emails generated. I don't know this seems to be the most nerve wracking and confusing contest ever.

I hope that's the case. I got some of boriherter's extra tickets as well but they won't have my name on them, obviously. But seriously, if they're real tickets, how could they turn us away?

speaking of boriherter, i have to PM him and ask him to make sure if his friend (whose name i claimed his extra ticket with) gets a confirmation e-mail.

so that way he can then forward the confirmation email to me to be completely positive that i'm going.

 

i made the HUGEST mistake though.

in a happy hurry, i put down my OLD zip code for Williamsburg Brooklyn (11211) and it should have been my current Ridgewood, Queens zip code (11385)

as long as they send the tickets out, the post office should correct the mishap for me.

since Ridgewood is very close to Williamsburg

and especially since I at least got my address and city/state correct.

I assume these things happen all the time.

I think everyone who got boriherter's extra tickets should meet up and track him down at the show and give him the world's BIGGEST hug. Hahahaha. He has made my year (or last 3 years, if you think about how long its been since Coldplay last toured). Bluexylophone, I'm sure the post office will be able to correct that, I get mail all the time which is addressed to the wrong street, town, or zip code.

if anything it might take longer (how long i'm not sure) for your tickets to arrive but you should get then eventually.

yeah it'll definitely be delayed

but it shouldn't be too long, since 11211 and 11385 are neighboring zip codes.

the post office should spot the problem immediately.

in fact, if you type my address into google maps with the wrong zipcode

I really wouldn't be surprised. And if they don't do it on this leg of the tour, I'm sure they will swing back around and play MSG or Nassau. They couldn't not have a regular NY show! If you don't get to see them in June, I'm sure you will be able to see them some time on this tour!

So have we determined that even those that registered with hotmail and/or aol.com could still possibly get their confirmation of the msg show? It took forever to get my Violet HIll download and other confirmations. Have others from hotmail recieved confirmation emails? SO very sad if they have. I really wish there was a way to get these tickets in the hands of all true fans of the group. I'm really disappointed I didn't get anything.
