E-mailed them about an hour ago. No response yet. If it starts to get toward 4:30 and there's still nothing from them, I'm going to call. Can't believe I'm freaking out about this so much. :laugh4: I just have these horrible visions of tickets lost in the mail...

I entered the lottery to win tix to MSG and did not win. I wasnt surprised because i usually dont win anything and because im under 18 anyway it might have caused a couple problems. However, i was listening to PLJ (95.5 in ny) last sunday and they were giving away coldplay tix every hour. I said what the heck, ill try to call. ive got nothing to lose while sitting in my car. and to my surprise i did!

(caller #21) I was in such shock I forgot to tell them i was 18 and almost didnt get the tickets. (had to hassle it out with them)

Im praying they dont check your age when you get there or else im screwed. Do you guys think they will? .....im anxious to get my tickets cause the PLJ people said they are not responsible for tickets coming late

 

Anyways don't give up if u didnt get an email! Try anyway u can to get tickets and i think PLJ's website might have sum kind of chance to win

congratulationsss. ive been trying desperately since LAST FRIDAY to win tickets on PLJ... lucky you that you got it on the first try! do they give you 2 tickets?

Well...they emailed me confirming 2 tickets will be sent and they confirmed mailing adress, name, etc. but it also said in a little disclaimer on the bottom that "PLJ is not responsible for tickets that are sent after the show" or sumthing along those lines which i think is ridiculous. It's been 5 days since i won so i hope they will arrive soon. (the only problem i see is that the name on the ticket wont be mine, it'll be another family member's who wont be going and that im not 18 yet and wont be by the show)

 

PLJ has alot more tickets so make sure to try this weekend.

Also, it's possible that they will send the all the tickets out at once after their contest ends on the 19th. If you don't get them soon, I'm sure they will come at least a day or two before the show!

Apparently, they sent out all of the tickets today, but they sent out half of the e-mails last night and they'll be sending out the other half of the e-mails tonight. So I was assured that I (and everyone else with no e-mail yet) will be getting a shipping confirmation around 2 or 3 AM, as for some reason, they send them out in the middle of the night.

 

Now I can breathe a sigh of relief, as all is well in the world!

The tickets from the official contest are coming in from Virginia, but it's possible the radio station is already in possession of them. So I would guess depending on where you live it would take 3-4 days to receive them.

 

If the radio contest closes on the 19th which is a Thursday that's cutting it close to the show (because you only have 2 or 3 mailing days to receive them). It would suck tremendously if you don't receive them before Monday but get them Tuesday or Wednesday.

Bleh, this sucks. :P Congrats to all the winners and I guess I'll be waiting for bootlegs :P

thats good. there's a few people on my end who haven't got their shipping e-mails yet either so you're not alone.

Did anyone notice that it says "NO CAMERAS" in the shipping confirmation? Do you think that means video cameras or photos? I will be so bummed if I can't take digital pics :confused:

I remember MSG saying that last time around too. They generally make you empty your pockets, and if you bring a bag they check that too. However, if you hide a camera in a less obvious side pocket of a bag, they probably won't care enough to check there and won't find it. I was able to bring in a camera that way without a problem.

As long as this "No Camera" policy is not a repeat of the Flight of the Conchords concert I went to at Town Hall where they really meant it. The ushers shined flashlights at people that were taking pictures and some people had them confiscated after repeated tries. It was so overkill. It put a slight damper on the happy mood of the concert.

 

The tickets might be arriving today, tracking number says it has been processed at the local distribution PO.

I got my tickets in the mail yesterday! I'm in sect 101 which I looked up on the MSG Site and it's not awesome but not terrible! I'm so excited.

 

Also, this is my first post on here. I've been lurking since I first the got the email saying I won to check things out! Can't wait till next Monday!

What row are you in?? My tickets didn't come yesterday, so I'm forced to endure an agonizing wait until tomorrow afternoon.

 

All the tickets I've heard about so far are in roughly the same area. Two people on the official Coldplay forums had seats in Section 101 and Section 133.

 

I'd be really pleased with 101. I mean, those tickets would be costing close to $100 each if I bought them, right? Anything in the lower level is an amazing deal!

Don't worry, I've won tix from PLJ before, and it's just a standard ticket, like from Ticketmaster. No names/ages or anything. I'm bringing my 12 year-old daughter!

It really depends on the security that night. One show I went to the security was insanely tight. Guys had to "assume the position" and be wanded down, bags were checked completely. (The guy in front of me had his eye glass case opened). While another show I just opened my clutch bag and boom, that was it.

So what was in the padded envelope?

I got my 2 tickets, a sheet that explained all the rules like "no cameras, no selling the tickets" and directions, and i also got 2 wrist bands....any ideas why we would need wrist bands? i'm totally hoping its backstage stuff!! (doubt it...but i can wish right?) :)

Do the wristbands say anything on them?

The padded envelope simply had a regular white envelope containing the tickets, the wristbands (which are plain red) and the instruction sheet. It states that they will be checking photo IDs with the tickets.

 

And I'm in Row A! Wahoo!

the wristbands are just plain red and say coldplay viva la vida tour on them.

Multiple Tickets

 

I entered on two email addresses and won two sets of tickets. I got both mailed to me. I noticed someone mentioned needing photo ID. Do you think this will be a problem? Will they not let one of the pairs in? I was planning to just bring 3 friends...

Do you have a second ID (Passport)? If so, maybe let one of the friends go in with someone with the Drivers License and you go in with someone with the Passport?
