I kind of figured they'd draw from NY residents, but I wanted to unlock the videos so I entered anyway. We non-New Yorkers are still in the running for the grand prize!:D

You think they would weight the contest toward those in NY? I suppose they might, but it seems a little odd. Oh well, I didn't expect to win.

 

I do find it interesting that only NY residents have been notified that they won tickets. It never appeared to me that only people in NY would win. After all, the contest was open to all US residents not just NY residents. I am still hoping that emails will be trickling in tomorrow and on June 5th.

What are they doing with the rest of the seats GAD NaMMIT!!!! I was just at MSG on Sat. to see The Eagles, yes, The Eagles and i was literally looking at the space of the garden and how they would seat everyone. Would it be like "In the round"?

By the way, I also read some blog online that stated the concert was going to be in the WaMu Theater at the Garden? This can't possibly be true, right? With Chris' comments of it costing "millions of pounds" so no one's ever done it before. Really hope the show is in the arena proper!

I was thinking... Did anyone else enter with a Hotmail account and find that it took an extremely long time to get the first confirmation email? Because I got one sent to my Yahoo account three days before the Hotmail one.

 

Perhaps this means that some of our congratulatory messages are just... delayed. :smug:

i didn't mean to make it sound like ONLY NYers are getting into the show.

i just meant that it isn't a coincidence that the majority of winners so far as NYers

being that the show is taking place there.

though many of you would have no problem taking a plane out in the coming weeks, most people didn't even register based on proximity issues alone.

hopefully in a day or two, we all post about how lucky we are to have won.

but then a week later i got like 25 messages from coldplay.com wanting to confirm my email was mine so im treating this the same exact way.

 

plus in my own opinion, ill wait even past the point of getting an email until the tickets actually come in the mail to believe i won tickets.

 

or it could be that a computer is doing this and its emailing by area code (meaning starting with the closest and then going further and further away, a lot of contests that are on a very massive scale like this are done this way in order to keep it in order so that too many tix dont go out or so that seats arent double or triple given away) just my own theory though.

I entered quite a few times but only got one confirmation email.

im in Chicago... everyone in my family is registered and hopefully they aren't strict about using someone else's ticket because I would be the only one willing to go to NY!
