The truth is, hopefully, we're all fans, and though everyone in this forum should be going, together, Coldplay can't do that. Well....they could....but....lol, well, lets just leave it there.

it might be the case that most people who win will be from new york, because when i tried to win free tickets when Conan came to Chicago, I got free tickets for two days. my brother in nj tried to get tickets and he didn't win anything. i know it's not exactly the same case, but similar.

For the record, I really hope it's not everyone who got e-mailed today. None of my friends have heard anything (and my one friend created a list of 25 [yes, 25!] e-mail addresses to register for the draw). I can't imagine that only 5 or so odd Coldplayers would hear back. Especially when they said they're trying to give tickets to "real fans."

 

After all, we have to be the "realest fans" they have!

ugh. i really think there must be more emails to be sent. out of 3500 winners only like 2 so far have been regular posters here. i'm not completely giving up yet. i just feel like more than a few coldplayers would have won if every winner had been notified.

so then are they playing at Madison Square Garden theatre or MSG because they are 2 different things... if it's msg theatre... i can see the 3500 winners, but i thought they're playing @ MSG which holds alot more than 7,000 people (2 people per winner [3500])

I had the same question. I think it's going to be the arena itself, but I think they're honestly only going to have 7,000 seats go to lottery winners. The rest will be radio promotions, contests, people who know people--that sort of thing.

 

WaMu Theater just would NOT be the same, even if it were a better view. It needs to be in a massive setting.

honestly, if coldplay is playing MADISON SQUARE GARDEN and the official e-mail told us that the winners will be notified on June 5th, I am 200% sure that more then 3 coldplayers will win tickets.

 

Now as for the grand prize winner, Im sure were all screwed, haha, but hey, Im sure the majority of us will get tickets, and Im also pretty sure no one in the UK will be winning any tickets to the MSG show cause their is one in London already.

 

Think about it guys (and girls), there is a logical reason they have a few free shows in different parts of the world, excluding the grand prize, Im pretty sure the MSG show is only available to people who reside in the U.S. And vice versa for the London gig for U.S. residents.

 

And even at 2 tickets per person to completely or close to fill up MSG thats a lot of tix to give away, you guys should really consider this instead, I'll feel bad for the small majority of people who dont win tickets for the show cause so many of us most likely will.

 

IDK, maybe im just being wayyy too optimistic about it all, I just think everyone has an incredibly strong chance of winning.

yeah, i read something (probably the contest rules), i really don't remember, but it said only US residents were eligible to win, just like probably the show in London is only UK residents or whatever as well as Barcelona.

no i doubt signing up multiple times will affect anyone at all really, i entered with the same email address (hotmail) like 20 times because i never received the confirmation email for any of the entrances, and then like a week after i got at least 21 emails confirming my email address, and i confirmed it only once, so im pretty sure as long as you confirmed it once thats your entry, if you keep adding entries im pretty sure only the first one will be valid.

I'm positive the shows in the UK are only for those residing there, however. In the meantime I'll continue to refresh my inbox and hope for the best lol (still possibly delusional :wacko:).

i know the MSG show wasnt exclusively given to U.S. residents, but then you could say the exact same thing for the London show, cause I entered for both anyways.

 

It would just make sense if the grand prize winner was maybe for an international fan, cause I doubt coldplay is super behind having a bunch of people fly overseas for a concert.

I won tickets, actually my wife won. We are from Philly, and are mulling if we can go or not because of our work schedules (we also have tickets to the following Sunday's show in Philly already). The frustrating part (and this will be hard for you to read) is that I don't think it's possible to give these tickets away, and I know tons of people who would take them, so they might go unused. Hopefully if we decline the seats, someone else can use them or win them. I wish everyone on this message board could have won because I come here several times a day and love our enthusiasm and devotion to the band. Good luck everybody.

as much as it pains me to say....i'm kind of hoping that i don't win tickets because getting into that kind of situation would be tricky.

 

unless somehow im able to book a flight and a hotel for the concert in two-week's notice... :(

In light of the news that the tickets cannot be used except by the winners (which is a terrible idea), I'm glad I didn't win. I realize now that I wouldn't have been able to make the trip, and the tickets would've been wasted.

My panties are in a bundle rite now!!!!!! Taut it was on the 5th? I'm nervous.....

Glad to know so many people entered these contests without the will to do whatever it takes to go. I was ready to drop w/e amounts of cash it cost to see them in NYC again.

 

Id do anything for a ticket, arghh.

It's not that I don't have the will--I just wasn't really thinking when I entered in all the contests. :laugh3: I was thinking I was entering in for the GRAND PRIZE only. :laugh3:

 

Realistically, there's nothing really I can do to get there. At least not in this amount of time. :(
