Well, now that the album is out, it's strange that the thrill from all of the Viva La Vida madness is gone. The excitement for it to come out is kind of gone because well it's out! well for those who aren't waiting it is. I don't know, it's just.... It was a journey through Violet Hill. All of that hype was fun! Then slowly everything was making it's way out. Now that it's all out.... it's just like, what now?

you wait to pick up the album, look through the booklet as you listen to lossless CD quality music, and decipher it once again. the feeling's still there for me, just now i don't have the agony of waiting.

That's true. It'll be there once I get the album but... it's not like I totally don't know the music. I almost know all of the songs by heart now. lol. a part of me wishes I waited.

Well i know i'm gonna buy the cd, enjoy the artwork, see them live, follow every promotion, watch all their tv appearances and then finally say, "hey this band bores me."

I'll probably just listen to Viva la Vida again and again and again and maybe even again.

Oh and hey, according to Chris in that Q interview, they'll have an album out by the end of next year! Now that would just blow my mind! That'd really be something..

what now is that we start calling for LP5 out in 2009 or there'll be hell to pay.

 

:laugh4: just kidding. but the idea that we're going to go through this all over again IN LESS THAN A YEAR (well, ok between about 6 and 18 months from now, i'd say) just excites the crap out of me. of course, this is assuming chris wasn't just talking his mouth of like we know he can do. but frankly, now that they've said over three times that they're probably going to release LP5 in 2009...i can't help but count on that and be so excited by that. because this album was AMAZING, and so was all the time leading up to it spent here (well, ok, the best part was from mid-march to today...before that was just agony).

 

i think that this album will occupy us for a year until the time where we *might* just get to do it all again :dance:. because frankly, i can't wait, for the album itself and for all the CPing madness leading up to it :nice:

Yea i agree. Sometimes the anticipation can be agonizing but i think that's also half the fun!

the next album will be an album of b-sides, like what the killers did.

AGREED! I can't wait for LP5 and the concerts. But I dunno it was just the best time i've had on here. Violet Hilling and Losting and Life in Technicolor leaked videoing and wow.... what a great time. the excitement brought me here every single day and sometimes in the early morning. It's just wow, i love it here. and now, we have the next album.... ( i sound so dissatisfied )

Agreed! And dont forget the concert. Live performances. A summer of GREAT MEMORIES to glorious music that you will have for a lifetime...

I'm ashamed that i didn't become a member way back then but i'm here now and it's a ton of fun! Nothin' better than discussing your love of a band and their music with so many other people who feel the same way

I fully agree with this too. People on here are great to talk to about Coldplay OF COURSE! but like people that i know aren't this crazy about Coldplay as people on here are. Everyone is kind of connected. A group of people get excited then the next does then the entire forum is excited. It's so... cool i guess to see everyone sync with everyone else.

i think its a positive for me because i can listen to all the songs for like three weeks and learn which ones i love so ill be even more pumped for june 29 in philly! plus once u pick up the cd the quality will be alittle better then the leak.

Absolutely. There's always gonna be discussions on the little details of this album in the future from the way Chris sang a line, the feeling a song may give you or the fantastic production job Brian Eno did. So i guess what i'm saying is...WE HAVE GOT A TON TO TALK ABOUT PEOPLE! haha

I'm going to miss coming here everyday with that sense of anticipation wondering whether anything new had leaked... it's going to sound sooo lame but on these past few months we became kind of a family with a bond that can only be felt when there is mutual passion for something.

I totally 100% agree with that statement. A family we are. But, we're still all a famliy whether or not there's anything to really look forward too. We have the album coming out but... yeah the anticipation.... just... well we still have plenty to talk about. But nothing at the same time.
