Hey Mancs: watch out, WE'RE COMIN'!

Tottenham? Perhaps but highly unlikely. They have a good manager (just a good manager mind - Redknapp like every other Englishman is no technical genius) who is deploying his team in exactly the right way. Spurs have also been lucky in having no injury crisis. Culminates in their position in the league.

I think Man City will win the league. There was an opportunity last night for Liverpool to really put Man City in the shit form wise. Up until that silly error by Reina, Liverpool were doing well and SHOULD have been leading had Stewart Downing not cocked things up big style with Liverpool's one great chance of the match. He and Reina ballsed things up and it was so easy for City from that point onwards and just gifted Man City's good form card which they looked like they had lost against West Brom and then Sunderland.

The 2011-12 season Was not very competive for us .(pity) .. being won by Januray 4th. Well done Manchester City lets hope our ownership of the premiership trophy lasts for many years to come...

Suddenly losing to Man City 3-0 isn't quite as embarrassing! LOL!

Fergie's face will be steaming!

Thanks NEWCASTLE...... We will try and help you win when we play you so you can quailfy for the Europa League !

Haha brilliant. I really wanna see Evra's face. Little shit!

What an arse hole! Hope he enjoyed that. Now I want to see them get pulverised on Sunday.

Really dont like evera... he has a massive chip on his shoulder...

I agree. Tottenham will get very close, but City will end up winning it.

Spurs have also been lucky in having no injury crisis.

Lennon is injured, Dawson is injured. Sandro and Gallas left the last game injured, and might not play for some time. King has an uncurable knee injury, and is often unable to play.

Dawson is back now.

Yes he has and that is what caused this race row thing with Suarez imo

I am still very upset for Suarez. ! I am going to write to the FA and tell them they have it all wrong. Meanwhile John Terry will only face a 2500 quid fine. Desgraceful

Don't waste your time. They'll be too busy disecting Dalglish's press conferences. Write to the Ivory Coast FA over the Toures instead.

We know the rules

Presumably the Suarez sympathisers will now be informing him the difference in age of consent between his native country and the one he currently lives in. You know, just in case he rapes someone accidentally. Evra being at fault for the race row is an unbelievable claim. Sure, he's a dick, but I would not tolerate a racial slur no matter whose country it was acceptable in.

^That article is just some fucking referees who wanted to be in the paper. Anyone can easily make it out for themselves that it's an offence to receive a pass while in an offside position, while it may not be illegal to stand in an offside position you can see the arrow pointing towards them clearly indicates a pass being completed.

Why am I even talking about this.

Nice to see a summary of the history of Man City there :P

Don't be ridiculous. My opinion is that Suarez did not say what was alleged by the FA but did say negrito in a condescending manner which deserved a ban. Also the fact the FA feel fit to state that "Evra's account of what happened is PROBABLY what happened" doesn't really cut the mustard does it?

Just to highlight the hypocrisy of Fleet Street's, Mr Oliver Holt from the Daily Mirror, the quick to scourn Suarez and now Liverpool fans (in the wake of an alleged racist attack towards Oldham's Tom Adeyemi) is a fine example of such hypocrisy. He has revelled in Suarez's ban and slaying Liverpool Football Club in this racism row but when it comes to his hero John Terry it's a whole different story as seen in this tweet from two months back.

It must also be mentioned that Oliver Holt authored two biographies of the Chelsea and England captain....of course neither biography mentioning Terry's drunken abuse towards American's at an airport days after 9/11.

my facebook updates have caused this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16451434.stm

Liverpool investigate abuse aimed at Tom Adeyemi

Liverpool and Merseyside Police are investigating an incident of alleged abuse from fans towards Oldham Athletic defender Tom Adeyemi. The 20-year-old was visibly upset late in his side's 5-1 FA Cup third round defeat at Anfield on Friday.

The game was stopped for a period of time while Adeyemi alerted referee Neil Swarbrick to the incident. However, Merseyside Police confirmed that no arrests has been made for "racially aggravated behaviour".

A Liverpool statement said: "An incident occurred in the second half of the match which is now being investigated by both the club and the police. "We will continue to work closely with the police to establish the details of what actually happened and will make a further statement in due course."

Oldham manager Paul Dickov revealed he had not spoken to the player about the incident, but accepted something had upset him. "From my point of view I have not spoken to Tom about it but I know the kid and something has been said," said Dickov. He is a placid boy, a kid who has been well-educated with a fantastic temperament and has been with us since the end of August and I've never seen him raise his voice. For him to react like that it is obvious something has been said but what has been said I don't know because I've not had a chance to ask - I was too busy praising my players. He is fine now. He has calmed down. He is a laid-back kid who just gets on with business. Our players went and calmed him down and the Liverpool players did as well, which was fantastic and is why they are top professionals."

The incident involving Adeyemi compounds a difficult few weeks for Liverpool, who were without Luis Suarez for the match against the Latics as the striker serves an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra at Anfield in October. Oldham gave their Premier League opponents a scare when Robbie Simpson fired in from 30 yards, but goals from Craig Bellamy, Steven Gerrard, from the penalty spot, Jonjo Shelvey, Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing sealed Liverpool's passage to the fourth round.

"The scoreline is a bit flattering really," said Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish, who made eight changes to the side that lost to Manchester City on Tuesday. "Oldham did their club and their manager proud. They created one or two threatening situations for themselves, especially in the first half, so getting back as quickly as we did with the equaliser helped us. But the scoreline does not reflect the distance between the two teams on that performance."

Luis Suarez case: Ferguson says 'no' to peace talks

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says there is "no need" for peace talks ahead of his team's home clash with Liverpool on 11 February

Liverpool want a board-level meeting with United to restore harmony following the Luis Suarez affair. But Ferguson said: "I do not see why there is any need for it."

The Old Trafford match is likely to be Suarez's first away match after his eight-game ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra. The Uruguay striker faces severe treatment at Old Trafford and Liverpool want to reduce the offensive chants Suarez is likely to endure.

When questioned at the club's press conference on Friday on reports that Liverpool would like peace talks, Ferguson said: "It is nice of them to do it through the press. You would have thought they would come to Manchester United first. I do not see why there is any need for it but I have nothing to say about it."

Relations between the two clubs have been at a low ebb and, while accepting the punishment of Suarez, Liverpool were unhappy with the decision. After Suarez issued an apology - though not to Evra - for any offence his use of the word "negro" may have caused, Liverpool want to build bridges with United but are continuing discussions with the FA over an investigation process they believe was flawed.

United have said little on the entire matter, other than questioning Liverpool's public statements prior to the hearing.
