June 13, 200817 yr Yeah, it was absolutely perfect timing. When I remembered he was in England and the album came out, I called him up frantically and he told me he'd get me a copy. I was so excited. I'm getting it in the next hour. :)

June 14, 200817 yr I went to get the album this morning, there was nobody even looking at the stand in the shops, there was no queues whatsoever in the store, it looked like no Coldplay CD had been touched, and the shop had been open for like 20 minutes. And this was a major store in a busy area. :( Oh well I have my copy and am very excited to give it a listen! :D
June 14, 200817 yr haha, well it's not a videogame or harry potter. people these days don't really line up for music or movie releases, so i'm really not suprised. i dont think there really are any stampeding coldplay hoardes that would camp out for this sort of thing, unless all 30,000 or however many there are of us all happened to live in the same place or region. now...THAT would be a bit ridiculous!
June 14, 200817 yr :laugh3: True, I wasn't really suprised - its more a disheartened feeling! I wouldn't expect it to be a Harry Potter type fiasco, but Coldplay are a pretty big band even if not everyone is a major fan like us! :P Me being a Coldplay nerd waited around for a while to see if anyone else bought it and no :(, I was just a little dishearted how everyone was raving about it on iTunes at midnight but nobody these days goes out and buys it in the shops. Not like it used to be...changing times, thats all.
June 14, 200817 yr how i wish it WAS a harry-potter type thing! that would be amazing, having it be like that :D. completely agree with you there :nice: while of course i think its perfectly fine that people download (as long as its legal :P), i do kind of feel like they're missing out a bit by not buying the physical release (especially the vinyl LP release, but i'm one of the only wackos that does that :D). to me, there's just something about having music you feel so strongly about in a tangible form...

Feels like it means something if you make the effort to go out and get it, and then force yourself not to listen to it for the first time over your cars stereo lols. (and also I absoltuely love this album, yay Coldplay :dance: Best album to date for me!)
