Nope no offense at all. I just jumped in to defend X&Y. I respect all those people who love VLVODAAHF. I love the album too. However, a lot of people always bash X&Y in the process. Which in my opinion is not fair. X&Y is a great album and in my opinion is Coldplay's best album.

 

As to my taste in music, it can't be that bad when Coldplay and U2 are my favorite bands right? :D

X&Y just wasn't very good.

 

It wasn't terrible by any means, but it's def their worst album.

We def disagree then. There is no way I could ever call X & Y their best album. Even Martin has said in interviews that X & Y can be a bit of a stinker in places.

Actually that is NOT true. In the interview with Ben Jones this week Chris Martin said that the band loved X&Y and that they were proud of it. He said that the only downside of the album was that it might have been too long.

 

Chris Martin concluded the question about the album by saying that X&Y was a "glowing masterpiece" :D

X&Y is a great great album, but I still think viva la vida and a rush are better. I don't know why people bash X&Y when it's a good album. I just think fix you is overrated.

Regardless of how the band feels, the album was a def a stinker. I'm sure Fall Out Boy thinks their albums are "masterpieces" - don't make them.
