You can put celebs on such a high pedastal that you often end up disappointed when you finally meet them.

 

I've met people in the past who I looked up to and they turned out to be complete idiots.

That's a shame Kara, because there are millions who worship Chis, but at the end of the day, he's a human being like you and I.

 

I dont really get star struck by celebs, they're just fortunate people who got a break in society because of a skill or pure fluke.

 

Meeting them can sometimes change your opinion. There are many who worship Coldplay and other bands, but imagine if you met them only to find that they didnt really care about you. It would break your heart.

Yeah, you're right. When I met Chris, there were only three of us....three fans... and it was after a radio interview at 21.30 so the only place he was probably going afterwards was home. I know it's him and he's a busy, busy person but I just thought since there was three of us he could have at least not acted as if we were mobbing him. Felt like he didn't listen to anything we said really, :\ He even asked paparazzi where they wanted him to stand for a photo... :rolleyes:

 

anyway...I'm digressing.

It's a pity you caught him when he was being a nob because usually when fans talk of meeting him they always say he's very attentive and polite. Must have been having a bad day.

 

There were some horror stories about Guy back during the AROBTTH tour days. A few fans who met him on separate occasions said he was really rude and quite aggressive. I'm sure he shouted "go away" at a fan in America but my memory is vague.

I know Kara had a not so great experience, but Nettie was at the same meeting and she thought it was great, so I guess it depends on how you look at things. Chrissy can be a real sweet heart though. He once made the rest of the band come out side and sign stuff for Mary because she was standing out in the freezing cold and he didn't want her to get sick.

i half really want to meet them, half don't. i feel like i know what i'd say to them if i got the chance, and i'd love to get the chance to tell them how much they mean to me, but really, it's not like they don't hear that all the time. i'd just be the millionth fan saying the same thing, so what's the point? i also would hate to catch them in a bad mood or something, because i'd hate to think i was bothering them, and i'd be pretty stung if i just got a rebuff. in that sense, i don't know. i mean, i'd NEVER pass up the chance to meet them, but i'd be terrified about it.
