Featured Replies

it is not like i met Chris actually, but he almost came near to me but with in a split second some one came over on me when i am about to touch him while he was running to the back at the Today show and instead of me my hubby did it.

but he did smiled at me in that show because i was singing along and waving at him.

well but in the next show in Philly i was actually to the side of the stage near to him and he waved at me when they're playing Yellow and actually looked at me for a while during lovers in japan when i was standing very near to him.

have not but, if i did i would end up drooling and speaking in tounges cause i couldn't contain myself, oh and yes would probably pee myself. so maybe its better to love them from afar. it would embarrasing for all involved. sigh:rolleyes:

Your probably wondering how old i am

it was funny because i envisioned myself getting all fan girly and tongue tied but luckily I was the exact opposite. I was able to speak coherently and even make small talk without sounding like a total moron.

I know the reason is that you have them so built up in your head and then when you meet these guys, it really hits you - these are just guys - husbands, fathers, sons, humans. Plus, add to that that they are genuinely nice and give a shit about their fans and somehow it all added up to a zen Mel:cool:

No not yet:cry:

My life goal is to meet them and get pictures and autographs.

If I dont my life wont be complete!

'Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

(I'm talking about making a fool of myself here, not you Mel!)

.

I wish I had, oh God I wish!

i've never met them. but i freaking wish i have. :(

i kind've don't though, cause i'll probably make a complete fool of myself. drooling, crying and laughing all at the same time. plus, i'll grab chris and run away. :sneaky:!

:P

no fair to everyone who met them! I never get lucky!:cry:

next time they come to toronto....they better watch out

That sucks, when was this? After the show with Simon Pegg?

It's a pity you caught him when he was being a nob because usually when fans talk of meeting him they always say he's very attentive and polite. Must have been having a bad day.

There were some horror stories about Guy back during the AROBTTH tour days. A few fans who met him on separate occasions said he was really rude and quite aggressive. I'm sure he shouted "go away" at a fan in America but my memory is vague.

It's funny you say that because of the 4 band members I'd put down Guy as the least likely to be gay (not that I'm casting aspertions on anyone else of course :) )

His mannerisms scream testorone to me and I think were anyone even suggest that to him I get the impression that he would bop them on the nose!

Then again, my gaydar's been broken for years... I end up fancying all the str8 ones ... (I don't fancy Guy incidentally)

I met them. Won a pair of tickets to see their soundcheck prior to the show and got to get my picture taken with them afterwards. Also shook Guy's hand. It was an amazing day,

Nice!!! Can you post the pictures?

My Irish friend met Will at an Arcade Fire concert and talked to him a little bit.She said he like a tedy bear you wanted to hug :)

Another friend of mine told me a story about his mother going to some church a few years ago and some guy was singing next to her.At some point, she told him he had a really nice voice. He said "Thanks.I'm actually in a band"

Then she asked which one so he said Coldplay. Turns out it was Chris. She didn't know who they were at the time so when she told her son about he freaked out and kinda yelled at her :)

Does it count when you saw Jonny and Guy after Brixton coming out and you asked Guy to sign your shirt, he looked at you waiting for a marker to put in his hand, you don't have on and have to ask someone else , and when you look again he's alredy in the car....

cause I voted yes :)

if you want more check the brixton live thread

I'm warning you: once you meet them, you'll only like them more!!!!!!!! :bomb:

I never have a chance to meet them...they even haven't a live concert in Chinese mainland yet...

Don't worry: they're not too big on the UK either this year! :)

The thread's massive, can you just link to it pls?

Are you saying Guy's not fan-friendly?

i was lucky and met them and have the four autographs (jonny twice), but didn´t get to chat with them or anything :\ i´m too shy anyway, so i don´t know what i would have said even if i had the chance to be in a more intimate place...

guy isn´t that bad!! i think he gets really nervous or something when too many fans are around, specially girl fans ready to jump on him

i remember one time that they got out of the hotel to go to the venue, it was pouring with rain, so the vans were waiting for them a few steps from the door. I remember he was the only one who past by the vans and got a bit closer to us, waved his hand with a big smile, and then went into the car. But he acted a bit shy the rest of the days, one day he didn´t even come out, and the rest he looked a bit scared: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d9/Soft42sofy/Coldplay%20en%20Argentina/CP018.jpg

when some frinds met them at the airport, to say goodbye (), one of them talked to Guy and even asked him where he had bought his bass guitar. I know another story from another friend from here who got a Meet&Greet pass (it must be in the forum somewhere) where guy was really kind to her. so i don´t know, maybe he just has good days and bad ones, almost like every human being...

he looks so funny in that picture!

good to see you posting here sofy

I've heard that even though Guy's the party animal in the band, he's actually very shy, so that doesn't surprise me.:)
