They always come up short and think they are better than they actually are.:dozey:

That is true

They only won the league cup because Chelsea put out a dodgy team

And who really cares about the league cup any more, anyway??

I'm surprised it isn't sponsored by Mickey Mouse!!

I'm a huge Spurs fan, always have been :)

We all were extremely happy to win the Carling Cup this season, beating two of our biggest rivals (among the best teams in Europe also) along the way. As obviously any team outside the 'big four' would be. We should have done much much better in the UEFA the last two seasons though, most of us fans of the Spurs know that.

This season's going to be a big one for us and I can't wait. Juande's building a very decent team indeed :)

My whole family are Spurs fans too! Must be something about people from Kent supporting them....hehe! :D

I've seen them play about 5 times at White Hart Lane, but that was back in the nineties really, when I was younger. My mum and brother go to watch them loads, and have been to Liverpool and Manchester this season to see them away.

They're a team who are always in the middle.... so I was glad we won at Wembley this year.

'mon the Spurs!!!

Kara - so surprised and happy and your family are fans!! It's that Kentish water eh?!! :hippy:

So what does everyone think of next season for Spurs? I'd be happy with any cup again, with the UEFA a definite possibility at last, perhaps? :)

Now why does that not surprise me??

That explains EVERYTHING!!:laugh3:

Stop stalking me TROLL.

Stop stalking me TROLL.

Are you referring to your former manager Martin Troll (who rather bizarrely resembled one)?

No, I'm referring to you.

You're completely deluded, like the vast majority of Spurs fans.;)

Does anyone know the status of our new goalie's signing? I thought he was waiting for special visa clearance, but haven't heard anything further.

Another unprovoked personal insult masquerading as a joke.

I wonder how many threads you're intending to ruin stalking me and posting such harrassing comments?

Once again - please feel free to PM me all the abuse you want, I'm quite happy to deal with you in private. There's no need to take decent threads off-topic. Mind you, you're not doing yourself any favours pursuing such a ridiculous obsessive vendetta in public.

^In my opinion, the majority of Spurs fans are deluded because they always have extremely unrealistic expectations.

They are only ever likely to be an also-ran Premiership team.

Year after year they fail to come up with the goods.

Your comments in this thread are doing nothing whatsoever to disprove this.;)

And this is completely on topic.:wink3:

However, you do so seem to be rather paranoid for some reason.

I don't see how Spurs fans are deluded.... well I am certainly not anyway. I never expect anything incredible from them, but as a supporter of a team, you always cheer them on and hope they do as well as they can! It's what you do when you support any team. It's hard when you have to compete with the super-teams that are funded by absolute billionaires anyway.

There are many other teams like Tottenham too that are always in the middle in the premiership, but many arrogant people like you seem to have a vendetta against Tottenham for some unknown reason. :\

Not true - it's just that Spurs fans in general seem to be the most deluded (together with Newcastle fans) in thinking they have a realistic chance of winning a major trophy, when the reality is completely different.

They also seem to whinge more than any other fans when things aren't going well.

That is how they are perceived by fans of most other teams.

I'm afraid the likes of Spurs and Newcastle fans have been living on past glories for too many years to mention.

It's time they got real.;)

I understand you don't like me, and again ask you to make your vendetta private, via personal messages, rather than stalking me across this forum and making derogatory comments that are obviously aimed at me.

If you care about this forum read here about baiting and how it can have an extremely detrimental effect on a website.

Your comments about Spurs fans are a cliched caricature. It's realistic for a club of Spurs size and resources to hope to win a couple of cups a decade, or at least get to a couple of cup finals, as well as finishing consistently in the top half of the table.

While maintaining the size of the club and spending huge amounts if players, Spurs have failed over the last 15 years or more, most Spurs fans are completely aware of that and ready to admit it. We have, though, been probably the fifth or sixth most successful team in the country over the last three seasons, which is about right, actually it's rather good. And we won a cup last season (unlike Arsenal and Chelsea). So we're very happy thanks and looking forward to the new season very much indeed. :)

As I said previously, you're quite obviously paranoid. There are treatments for that.;)

Not true. Fans of many clubs get fed up with Spurs fans' delusions and whingeing year after year.;)

I can assure you the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea would far rather be in the Champions' League than win a Mickey Mouse cup.

Fifth or sixth place is the most you can hope for. Get used to it.;)

Please re-read my previous post, it contains all you need to know.

Ditto.;)

Mark, why do you have to put everything down that you don't like?

I don't care if you hate Tottenham and you can post whatever you want about them, but you always ruin other threads about things if it's something you deem unworthy. You just come across such a ridiculous know-it-all.....it's tiresome.

I don't like to be mean but those months when you were away from this board were brilliant...people could actually have a conversation without being interjected with stupid little 'jokes' and 'i know best' statements.
