What do you do when you're angry?

Featured Replies

*snorts* Well everyone has favourite methods

Hmm unfortunately I'm a very short-tempered person. So even if my dogs bark I would like to throw them both out of the window :stunned: It scares me sometimes how angry I can get. I guess I got that from my father, who is also often peevishly.

I starting to cramp my fists until it hurts, then I make grimaces and swear (especially in english) like a fool and then I calm down because I know that it doesn't help if I would destroy things around me.

:laugh3: i do almost alike

:D:lol:

^ a reason to be angry again!!! :veryangry2: ;)

I vent my anger on message boards.

I guess I just hold it inside of me, and listen to some music. Although when I'm angry at someone I just avoid them. I would love to just yell :P!

When I get angry I vent with Gizmo, and vice versa:kid::ears:

of course by "vent" I mean:

I almost always walk down to the elementary school near my house and just swing on the swings like a little kid, whenever I'm angry/upset/frustrated. It usually helps. :)

That makes me so sad...I haven't been on a swing in five years.

- go to the gym

- blast Damien Rice's "Rootless Tree" and 'let ME out'

- get supersarcastic

- ignore you or yell my head off at you

I think we may be sharing a brain. :o

i don't know, i'm not an angry person. i can count the times i got really angry in the past 10 years on one hand. unfortuneately two of those times were in the past week, and it involved me subsequently having to discipline children. i scared myself a bit, yelling at them like that.

i get annoyed, though, even though i don't count that the same as being angry. mostly, i just get put out by people and sick of them. then i put on the live 2003 DVD, especially the tour diary part. that always makes me feel better, as does the entire AROBTTH album. and some really funny coldplay interviews or something :P

Ah, if i'm angry at my parents i just say a few nice words to them, leave the room, go to my own room, slam the door and depending of the situation i might 1. cry (for some weird reason) 2. throw something (phone) at something random.

But basically, if the reason for my angryness is a person i usually just mock them for a few minutes and then ignore them. (works here too )

And if the reason for my angryness is an annoying situation i swear

Wow, some good tips on here.

I'm not a very angry person, but the 1 or 2 times I really lost my temper in front of my friends they said I scared them. :stunned: One of my best friends, though I love her to death, knows exactly what buttons to push. When I'm REALLY angry I:

1) Clean 2) Swear 3) Listen to 'Assasin' by Muse.

But most of the time I don't get angry, just really annoyed.

either I listen to the Vines or I throw things through the room

both things help:nice:

3) Listen to 'Assasin' by Muse.

Kickass song. Great pissed-off music. :D

I actually have a little playlist of songs called 'pissed-off', which I listen to while being upset. :D Another good pissed-off Muse song is Stockholm Syndrome.

I think we may be sharing a brain. :o

WOW well let it be three, I grab my guitar and play Rootless Tree with all I got I almost break strings. That helps a lot to let all the anger melt down.

ah i envy you. i've always wanted to learn the guitar, but after hearing rootless tree, it just motivated me even more to teach myself. i want to be able to play rootless tree on the guitar when i'm pissed off, just like you do. unfortunately, my dad's guitar is way too big for my short fingers, so i'm gonna save up a bit to buy a smaller one.

i imagine all kinds of horrible terrible things that could either happen to them, or things i could do to them. i think of harming them. if it is very bad i think of killing people, if they are strangers or someone i super duper hate. i plot the perfect murders if i can, as perfect as i can. then i think about how it is all impossible and i will never do it because i would always turn myself in in the end, unless it was a stranger. then i think about how i am a very evil person for wishing those things. then i think about how i can give that person (s) a second chance in my mind and think about how i may be judging people for something that isn't necessarily bad or their fault.

then i think about killing them again, and then i usually regret all that process and wish things would just be better and that person would just be nice or i give up with whatever i lost because of that person

maybe i am a sociopath, but i have never done those things.
