Yes tickets are free! I called the studio about 2 weeks ago and I was told:

 

Tickets for the concert series are on a first come first serve basis. The will call for them are at guest relations NBC. Starting @ 8 am.

 

I have been parked here and I overheard a few people that work here say as they left something about "camp out" and "midnight". It might have nothing to do with the COLDPLAY show but just reporting.

Well my dear has arrived. Security has informed me that I can't camp out at the normal spot where you get tix. That I have to go to the front of the studios where the "tonight show" sign is. So with heads down Jon and I started to walk away. Then two girls drove up and asked if we were all here for the samething. We agreed and said what security told us. They said that they have done it before. And that it would be ok. So we collectivly decided that we would wait at the property line. So then there were 4!!!

 

Let's see what happens!!

So I have been here for I don't now how long now; I got here at 5 PM yesterday. And waited. I finnaly have my 2 tickets and then I find that the retard page have me and everyone else the wrong tickets. Finnaly I get the right tickets. I got in line and then when I was told one thing I find out that's not true. So here it is. There are about 15 people in front of me. And I really don't care but I think that NBC would be more clear and tell people what's going on and that there are 2 lines. I wish that I would have know that. I was here @ 5 yesterday for a reason. To get to be where I was wanting to be. Now there will be 15 people in front of me that were there like 3 hours before the box opened. I know. I know. Its all for free. But I have absolutly no respect for those who work @ NBC.... For now.

Eek, sorry to read about that! I hate the NBC staff at the Tonight Show, they're all assholes. I used to go there years ago when I was younger and unemployed and I'd wait there in the early morning with my friends too (and these were for shows where the band would only do ONE song.) One time a group behind us complained to NBC staff that some of my friends and I took turns in taking trips to a bathroom across the street and we got moved from our front of the line spots! Going to Jimmy Kimmel's outdoor shows is so much better.

I want to see them perform but I might be going to see Batman at midnight! Oh decisions! Decisions! :(

I think that I just had the BEST WEEK EVER!!! I was sitting next to the tour manager, and he was looking at me a lot. I think that it was because I have a Coldplay Tee on, and I am walking everywhere with the VIVA vinyl. We went out at 3.30 and stood in the shade little to know that Chris, Guy, and Jonny were RIGHT next to us... I did not say anything..

 

( After my autograph moments, where I was screaming, and everyone around me was telling the 4 of them that I was there since last night at 5, and they were like... YOU WHAT??? HOW LONG??? WOW! THANK YOU!!! I said... "Uhh no.... THANK YOU!!!")

 

SO we just stood there next to them and that was it, then they all left one by one. We got a mini tour of the Tonight Show, and then got into the green room. ****BTW... NO CAMERAS ALOWED ... CAMERA=GOODBYE! ***** We hung out there, then got out to the Stage, where we stood on the Front Left. ( I Have a RED BLACK COMPASS Tattoo on my LEFT Forearm,) It Was SO STOKED! WOAH!! Sounds like SOO much fun! I totally could've skipped work and done it.. but I've been to TV tapings before and would wait all day and the band would only play like 3 songs..... Had I known I would actually be able to MEET them... Shiz.. I would've totally gone! You're SO lucky. I'm still on a concert high since the Forum show 2 days ago. I'll def. be watching the tonight show and will be looking for your tattoo :) My channel 4 kinda sucks, though. I hope someone puts it on youtube :) Were there a lot of people there (for coldplay?) Or was it only you and a few others that got to meet them since you waited so long?
