February 22, 201115 yr February 22, 2011 - submitted by Lilac, United Arab Emirates Q. Hello Oracle! Did you ever wonder if the globe on the Parachutes album cover is glowing? Is it actually glowing? The Oracle replies: I didn't wonder myself Lilac because I know that yes, the globe is glowing as it is in fact a lamp.
February 23, 201115 yr February 23, 2011 - submitted by Evelien, Belgium Q. Is to have had and lost, better than not having at all? What do you think, wise Oracle? The Oracle replies: Absolutely! Regardless of the untold amount of pain that can follow when you lose a love, it's surely worth it when the pain has subsided to remember how great it was. It's not just love of course; it could be a title you once bore, a license once held or friends held dear. Physically if I was ever robbed of my sight for example I would be so glad that I had been able to once see so many magical sights (and sites!) and keep them in my memory. I think life is certainly richer for the sorrows as well as the happiness but of course you can guess which one I prefer.
February 23, 201115 yr February 23, 2011 - submitted by Stephen M, United States of America Q. Oh Almighty Oracle, I was wondering if you can answer this for me. So I enjoy listening to Coldplay live and I often listen to their performance of Clocks at the IOW Festival back in 2005. After he sings the the round of "home..where I wanted to go" he says something, but I can't understand what he's saying. Do you know what he said? Thanks a lot. The Oracle replies: Ah I loved that performance... Chris says "it's a new arrangement but it's a good one" before the song starts to speed up to an almost frenetic climax.
February 23, 201115 yr Indeed a good one!! Clocks from IOW is my absolute favourite performance of the song! :bomb: :dead: :awesome: 8...
February 23, 201115 yr Ditto! They also did it at Glasto 2005 :D Wonder if we'll get some new arrangements at Glasto/all other festivals this year
February 23, 201115 yr I have an idea for a question, if anyone is interested in sending it to her. I would ask it, but I've sent a couple other different questions to her in the past few months, so I don't want to be a pest: Will the December Crisis gigs in Liverpool and Newcastle be added to the Live Transmissions section on coldplay.com? Also, do they plan to add the festivals once they happen? There are lots of people on here who attended the Crisis gigs, and I'm sure they would like to upload videos and pictures if they had the opportunity.
February 23, 201115 yr sorry (maybe for my stupid question) but who exactly answers on all questions?
February 23, 201115 yr :smug: Ha ha, oh yeah... but methinks that would be an abuse of my powa; although she could pay me back by editing mine
February 23, 201115 yr I sent the Live Transmissions question as well, I´ve checked that several times since December. And I also asked if they will add the festival events to the official facebook page.
February 24, 201115 yr :smug: Ha ha, oh yeah... but methinks that would be an abuse of my powa; although she could pay me back by editing mine  :sneaky: Beware the powa of editing! let's start an editing war!  It's on!
February 24, 201115 yr please explain yourself :) yeah yeah i said that my question was stupid! now i know the answer ahah))
February 24, 201115 yr February 24, 2011 - submitted by Gise, Argentina Q. When did Phil Harvey live in Argentina, and for how long? Say hi to the guys for me... Have a really nice day and thank you Ps. I work in a bar and EVERYDAY on my playlist have Coldplay OFC..! The Oracle replies: I'm thinking it was 2003. He took his extended haitus in 2002 before the release of A Rush of Blood. Given he was at a London show on his birthday later that year, Argentina must have been the following year. He stayed there for 6 months.
February 24, 201115 yr Oh...too bad I had no idea who Phil was back in 2003  I wonder what he was doing while he lived here
February 24, 201115 yr February 24, 2011 - submitted by Noelia, Argentina Q. Hi Oracle! One year ago you were in Buenos Aires... Do you have any funny anecdotes? The Oracle replies: Wow, another question from Argentina. Well Noelia, there are many stories I could tell from that trip and so many wonderful memories. I do recall a crowd outside the hotel chanting "Oracle" which was quite overwhelming. I also remember cycling through the capital during rush hour traffic thinking there was every chance I could die before we'd even done one gig! There were lots of new experiences in Argentina and I loved every single one (apart from aforementioned bike ride). One night there was a dinner held for everyone and plate after plate of steak was brought out, each better than the last. By the time it got to the very best cut of meat I was far too full to even try it! I have a tiny jar of Dulce de Leche on my desk as I write this by the way...
February 24, 201115 yr All this Argentina talk just makes me more nostalgic and I wish I could go back a year   I never knew about the Oracle chant  She's quite courageous! I'd never cycle through Buenos Aires during rush hour!
February 25, 201115 yr SO TRUE. Argentine/Porteño drivers are the worst! Every single day I thought I was going to get hit by a car or bus or something. Love the city, hate the drivers haha.
February 25, 201115 yr I think it's mostly people from Buenos Aires (and Gran/Greater Buenos Aires) :P I've been to other cities like Paraná and they are not so crazy, but yeah, here it's a nightmare!
