Q. Heard a song today on XM Radio with Coldplay and Michael Stipe about God's Love...What is the exact title and where can I find a copy of it ?? Thanks

The Oracle replies:

The track is called In the Sun. It was originally by Joseph Arthur but Michael chose it as the song to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina. It was released exclusively via iTunes back in February 2006 and you can still get it there.

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

I'm starting to think we should just boycott the Oracle. The answer it gave to the Guy question would never have been right as Will is the youngest....

this is getting tiresome having to correct the Oracle:dozey:

yeah.. and is that what The O calls interesting question ? seriously... ? :dozey:

oracle

The Oracle says:

Q. I read somewhere that Guy was the 4th richest man in the U.K. under the age of 30. Aren't the other guys just as affluent, or does he just come from a wealthy family?

The Oracle replies:

It seems a little personal to me buy as it was published what the heck... Guy is under 30 and the rest of the band are not, so there you go, simple explanation.

------------------------------------------------------

Um, shouldn't that be "but", not "buy"???

The Oracle needs a spellchecker too :P

Haha, yeah and Will is the youngest member, not Guy. Hmmm let's see. July 31, 1978 is younger than April 12, 1978!:idea2:

And I thought the Q&A session was supposed to answer band/music related questions correctly

Questions like: What will Guy do with those pics on his camera?

Will the boys release an album in 2009 and if so, will it be songs that were leftover from the "Eno sessions"?

Will we get a Live DVD from this tour?

ETC,

Not one's about how rich they are or one's that could take a google-monkey to answer....:dozey:

think Anchorman's been reading your post :laugh4:

^ (sorry I didn't see your post earlier)

Hmmm.. I hope he has been. :nice:

Maybe he can tell the Oracle to stop messing with us! :sneaky: :P

I know!! Guy is quite clearly 12 days older than me. And as Will 3 months is younger than me..........

soooooooo if they feel its a personal question, ignore it!!

I was like :uhm...... NO HE'S NOT, and then came on here to bitch about it before I read the other questions. hehehe

The Oracle Sucks! it better not be Phil, or I'll be really dissapointed in him and change my threads name to Phil is hot and a little dumb.. (but it can;t be him)

My guess now is it MUST be Debs,(yeah I;m over to that side now) she knows about signing artists, and she's not close enough to know EVERYTHING, and probably doesn't want to bother the band asking these silly things

Dear Oracle,

If you happen to stumble upon this, please note that none of us are satisfied with your selection in questions and inaccurate answers. Thank you, Oh Not-So-Wise One.

Well she can google out who is the youngest and post something better.

today I asked:

dear oracle...

what's taking so long with putting the lyrics up on the website,

do you need help being more strict? hehehe

Guy himself said that it wasn't true about being the 4th richest man under 30 in the UK he said it in a interview on here by rakkuduesta and Guy seemed a little steamed about it !

anywhoo I'm starting to lose faith in The Oracle b\c some of his\her answers have been wayy off!

*sorry had to vent*

Yeah I heard that interview too. He said it was bullshit.

^ finally someone who knows what I'm talking about !!!

yeah he did quite abit of swearing in that interview ha

And got a bit peeved at whoever was bashing the drums in the next room

by the way does anyone have that interview cause I was looking for it the other day :)

I knowit too! after you gave it to me nikky....he hawss a bwit of a twemper hehehe

I know I love it !!! :wink3::wink3::whip::whip:

*runs back to pervy Mr. Berryman thread*

CRAP ! why would The Oracle answer this in the first place... AND give a wrong explanation..

yeah.. and is that what The O calls interesting question ? seriously... ? :dozey:

I asked that question. Obviously it's an interesting one or else it wouldn't have answered. No need to get your panties in a wad. Maybe one day it'll answer one of yours. :D

I don't think anyone here is mad at the question just more so at the Oracle

my opinion

win :laugh3:

Heeeeeey, why hasn't the Oracle answered any questions today?

It's not the weekend anymore... :sneaky:

It's slacking off.

bank holiday monday :D

maybe The Angie could offer to help or at least send the oracle a basic biography on the band it is supposed to know "all" about. :dozey:

we could refer the Oracle to WikiColdplay as a reference tool :D

Q. Who is Coldplay's favorite uncle from America?

The Oracle replies:

That'd be Shawn Carter aka Jay Z. This refers to when Coldplay performed live at the BBC in June, Jay-Z was in the audience. They dedicated Lost! to him using that moniker.

Q. Was a Coldplay song ever used in an episode of Grey's Anatomy? I thought I heard Chris' voice over a scene once and it's been bugging me not knowing. Thanks very much :)

The Oracle replies:

Yes it was, just before Viva la Vida was released, the song Death and All His Friends was featured in an episode. Also, In The Sun (the track Michael Stipe & Chris duetted on that I mentioned yesterday), was used.

Q. Did Richard Ashcroft enjoy the experience of opening for Coldplay and would he ever give us fans the greatest nite of music again by opening again for them?

The Oracle replies:

Ah Richard. Of course he loved being back playing live again but he wasn't overly enamored with being an opening act for anyone. I guess with the success of The Verve and his solo career he wanted to headline and not long after of course, he was back doing exactly that. There were some great shows though and of course the collaboration at Live 8 that they'd been able to rehearse during sound checks on the road. Only good came of that support slot.

Q. Dear Oracle, Even though you know everything, I'm sure you'll agree it's important to have back-up. If you found yourself sitting in the chair on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", which one of the band would you have as your "Phone a friend"?

The Oracle replies:

Hmm good question Ali, albeit a tricky one. If pushed I'd probably ask for Phil. He's intelligent and possibly more available. I mean I can't phone the band if my Millionaire appearance clashes with a live performance. You can have more than one 'phone a friend' so if you insist it has to be a band member I'd pick Chris as an all rounder and nominate Will, Guy & Jonny for specialist subjects.

Q. A guy rides into town on Friday, stays 3 days, and leaves on Friday. How does he do it?

The Oracle replies:

Ah another riddle. The trick is to use lateral thinking. Ryan my friend, it is possible because the horse he is riding on is called Friday. Silly name for a horse if you ask me.

So, its definitely not Phil...must be Debs or maybe Vicky???
