  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

^ im almost certain that aint him :D .....plus you dont need an account to search these forums anyway so if the oracle does visit he probs just has a wee look around

There's a user called The Oracle because it's Alias Day and so that is one of our members' alias.

Alias day is where users create a new account just for that day and post as someone else, usually famous or well know people. Is contained in the lounge :)

awwww! god im such a dafty! :laugh3:

i thought they were a load of mental people joining for a laugh :laugh3:

now i get it! :laugh3:

Yeah, once it's all over people guess who they were :D

I think so, I think you had to register your interest with Dave before it started :idea2:

hmmmmm, which Coldplayer is the Oracle scared of most? [/quote]

ME, PLEASE LET IT BE ME.

Ang, why did your name pop in my head when i wrote that? hahahahahahaha:rolleyes:

It's cool Coldplaying got a mention.

I think O is talking about messageboards in general. But s/he has a point. Boards can be ugly and unhealthy place to spend time, however well run they are. :)

Coldplayings forum is great cause of our amazing Mods!!

i have asked a new question to oracle:

"why they're not playing reign of love or warning sign live?"

hmmm i must wait and see for any reply for that.

I was thinking of asking:

Chris said they were going to start playing warning sign again... so why haven't they?

I know I'm a bit late but It was sooo nice that this forum got a mention :nice:

I was thinking of asking:

Chris said they were going to start playing warning sign again... so why haven't they?

I forgot about that.

Maybe they'll start playing it in the acoustic section. That would be awesome.

i think warning sign is the most requested song in my thread about bringing back and "older" song to the concert set list:rolleyes:

EDIT: Woah! The Oracle answered my question (that I didn't even send).

Q. Why the oracle do not answer questions on weekends???

The Oracle replies:

I dont work 24/7 as I need time to do the laundry, deal with domestic matters and of course recharge my oracle batteries.

Q. I've heard rumors of Coldplay bring a globe from Parachutes with them on tour in the past, and I've seen them with an old tv set on stage for Viva La Vida. Is it a habit of theirs to bring props with them on tour? If so, what other objects have they brought along before, and is there some sort of meaning behind them? Thanks, Oracle.

The Oracle replies:

Back in the days of the Parachutes tour they did indeed have the globe lamp lit on the piano. They only had a backdrop in those days and a simple light show. These days there's an elaborate set so there's not what you'd call props. The globe was one of several that are now housed in a storage unit. The fact the globe became the cover for the Parachutes album was more of a last minute panic rather than a pre-determined decision.

Q. Hey Oracle, I'm wanting to become an artist (musician) and get signed to a label. I have some songs recorded and was wondering whether I should share these on MySpace so that people can hear my music or whether I should send the songs I want to release to the labels first, before I put my songs on myspace? I want people to hear my music, but I also want to get signed. Can you help?

The Oracle replies:

Stick them up on MySpace but remember that unless you are out there gigging and getting a fan base the labels probably won't get to hear of you. It would take a great amount of luck to be discovered on MySpace and get a deal as a result. To be perfectly frank, it rarely happens that you get signed by sending a demo to a label either. It's hard work to build up a following and reputation and of course you have to be great at what you're doing too.

Q. I read somewhere that Guy was the 4th richest man in the U.K. under the age of 30. Aren't the other guys just as affluent, or does he just come from a wealthy family?

The Oracle replies:

It seems a little personal to me buy as it was published what the heck... Guy is under 30 and the rest of the band are not, so there you go, simple explanation.

---

CRAP ! why would The Oracle answer this in the first place... AND give a wrong explanation..

edit : that's right, i'm so bored that I'm refreshing the page every two sec for the last half hour and editing my post.. :dozey:

Q. Is true that exist a strong rivalry between Coldplay and Keane? Something similar to Blur vs. Oasis, or more friendly like Beatles vs. Rolling Stones?

The Oracle replies:

They are friends and mutual fans. It's nothing more than healthy competition between bands. If we're comparing it's definitely more Beatles/Stones but not versus, more a &. There's more than enough room for both don't you think?

I'm starting to think we should just boycott the Oracle. The answer it gave to the Guy question would never have been right as Will is the youngest....

this is getting tiresome having to correct the Oracle:dozey:
